Praying...any updates?

You probably saw the thread was updated with Kimmitt's Reuters denial, and MSNBC has a report where Kimmitt's aide said the report "...is false..." and that they had already contacted the unit which supposedly captured Zarqawi.

I didn't see that, Coop. Getting caught up on the Iraqi transfer thread.

Thanks for the update...I still hope it's misinformation so we can sweat him.

Still saying that Zarqawi hasn't been captured. If he isn't dead and/or in custody, hopefully we ain't far behind.

Definitely. Something must have given rise to that rumor and maybe it's that we're closing in.

Or maybe we're trying to shine a light and watch the cockroaches scatter. Didn't we do that at the start of the war with a rumor about Tariq Aziz?

Yup. Deliberate misinformation to make him move.

I think that someone important must have been captured, but maybe it's not Zarqawi.

Don't admit it if it IS true; the libs will start whining about how he's probably being treated.

Me thinks that they do, in fact, have the dirtbag. Holding him in a very secure and secret place, waiting for the right moment to release the news. So much more could be accomplished holding him secretly, both politically and intel wise, than to let the news interfer with the transfer. Pry the intel out of him, Iraqi style, and enjoy their "Independance Day" celebrations.

"It's not true, the reports are not true,"

Most likely it's a false report.

On a day of good news, where were we turn Iraq over to the Iraqi people, these false reports abound for one reason -- to make Kimmitt say bad news.

JMO!

The we-almost-bombed-Zarqawi story worked so well the other day to cover up the good news about Fallujah. So on a day where there is plenty of good news, we get more of the same -- Kimmitt having to point out because of bogus news reports, that we don't have Zarqawi.

Was sort of hoping the "not captured" could be corrected to "KILLED"..........(DNA typing does take time.)
