A more realistic "tin foil" theory would be "crashing mothership" or "mini-blackhole". Perhaps we can work contrails into this.

I have been here for 10 years and the only I have ever felt was the one that came out Indiana about 1+ year ago. My house felt like it was shook off the foundation or that it could have cracked the foundation on my house. I had 2 things fall off a shelf during that one, but that is the only one I have ever felt and as you know Randolph CO is closer to the New Madrid Fault. Most of the ones that are south of us (which happens all the time) are not felt here in Randolph CO.

fwiw, I was standing in line at Walgreens when it allegedly hit. I felt nothing. Northside of Chicago checking in.

We felt it too.......unbelievable. We totally expected to go outside and find something smashed into our house. All the neighbors were outside, as well! (around 1:15 am) LaSalle County. No pun intended but, that must really be unsettling.

Dare I say it? Byron nuclear power plant. 90 miles west of Chicago, 15 miles south of Rockford.

My hubby and daughter just got back from scouting out around town, evidently people were out all over, and radio reports are coming in statewide and in Wisconsin that it was "probabable seismic activity".

That looks like my EKG about 1:15 this morning.
(Nothing here in Nashville...not suprising, we sit on slabs and New Madrid is a mudquake roller)
*a big one would of course be another story
