MOORE: 'We sold out in Fayetteville, home of Fort Bragg, We sold out in Army-base towns. We set house records in some of these places. We set single-day records in a number of theaters. We got standing ovations in Greensboro, N.C... The biggest news to me this morning is this is a red-state movie. Republican states are embracing the movie, and it's sold out in Republican strongholds all over the country...
HARVEY WEINSTEIN: 'It's beyond anybody's expectations. I'd have to say the sky's the limit on this movie. Who knows what territory we're in'...
Some of these theaters are playing to full houses because they are the only theater in town that is showing Moore's "documentary".
ROFLMCO...that is too funny, as I am a tarheel...Kerry has as much chance in NC as Michael Moore has with Ann Coulter!
First time poster to Free Rep.- but I couldn't resist! I live in Fayetteville and the only theater showing this is the Cameo - a "art house" theater with only around 100 seats. I'm personally not military, but Fayetteville is a STRONG Bush town - and correct me if any of you disagree - the military here strongly supports Bush! As for colleges, there are at least 4 locally that would have to come here to watch this garbage, and like any town, we have our liberal element. Keep up the good work of exposing this fraud!
The State of North Carolina would gratefully thank the Kerry campaign for their generous contribution to the state's economy.
"their"? Ahhh. maybe "they're" or "they are" might work better.
Folks, a little perspective! Moore knows that he has a lot of negative press about the film BEFORE it ever opened anywhere - it's only natural for him to embellish the attendance figures to make it seem better than it is.
A lot of people are going more out of curiosity than any actual desire to see this dreck.
I couldn't agree more. My mother is so apolitical. She wouldn't see a political movie to save your life, however she's somehow been convinced that she should part with 8 bucks, which she does not part with easy, to see this piece of crap. If anything, this blowhard has a very good promotional machine.
BTW, we talked mom out of it telling her that she was basically plopping money down money to watch the same thing she could watch on the alpha networks nightly news. I told her she could save some money and expand her horizons more by finding out his claims online and then verifying them with historical documents and evidence--there is no need to line his pockets to do that and she can keep her brain cells active by reading. IMO, Moore has fooled people into believing that this is some great cinematic drama with historical relavence mixed in. I think movie going sheep, unfortunately I have to say like my mother, will think they are going to see an actual movie with some agenda in it, but that they will be entertained in some way at the same time. Sad, really sad.

People, relax. No one who was an undecided voter lined up to see this film. Moore is preaching to the choir and draining funds from the choir that might have been donated to Kerry or MoveOn.
Ignore this film.
LOL: 225 seats is 'selling out an army town.'
It's selling out here in Montpelier. The liberal mecca of the all too liberal VT. ... At the Savoy which you have just well described.
The only way I would watch this movie is out of a morbid sense or curiousity...kind of like slowing down to check out a train wreck.
Sheesh.

Cameo Art Theatre
225 Hay Street
Fayetteville, NC
It looks like it did sell out at that theatre.
I think that's OK to say now.
From the looks of many I saw waiting in line for it I'd say a good many of them won't vote at all and some will vote for Nader.
There. Fixed it.
We should take turns filming moore 24/7 and title the resulting movie:
LIES IS MOORE!
let's see how he likes it.
