Tape Shows Marine Hostage in Iraq(God help him)

BAGHDAD, Iraq — An Arab satellite TV network broadcast a videotape Sunday showing a blindfolded man in military fatigues and said he was a U.S. Marine taken hostage in Iraq.

There was no immediate comment from the U.S. military, but the video showed a card identifying the man by a Pakistani name and as an "active duty" Marine. The man had a trimmed moustache and his eyes were covered with a white blindfold.

The Al-Jazeera network said the group claimed it infiltrated a Marine outpost, lured the man outside and abducted him. The station said the group demanded the release of all Iraqis "in occupation jails" or the man would be killed.

The group identified itself as "Islamic Response," the security wing of the "1920 Revolution Brigades" referring to the uprising against the British after World War I.

Can't the US military install some type of secret chip under the skin of each and every soldier, something that could be tracked by satellite or AWAC's plane.

Isn't that type of technology available.

Maybe something hidden in their boots, or clothes.

Maybe that's why the terrorists put different clothes on their captors.

Still, isn't there some type of device which a soldier could activate manually on his uniform or something if he is being taken hostage?

Do we know exactly when he deserted? Is he connected to the 4 marines killed in an ambush on the 21st? If he is related to their unit, and is the cause of the ambush, that would explain a little about how they were cut down.

I hate thinking like that, but this is strange, and we've seen bad apples turn on their own already. (Akbar or whatever his name was).

As a retired teacher, I don't know of any school that doesn't receive federal funds in some way -- even at the college level. That was how they got West Point, the Citadel, Air Force Academy, etc. to become co-ed. There may be a private school or college that doesn't accept funds, but I don't know which one it would be.

The system is rotten to the core, and it's hard to imagine how it could turn around. Kind of like the Titanic, doesn't turn on a dime. It may take a crash to fix things.

What degree of narrowing down would you get if you could tell it was the new fatigues?

Well, the military is bringing out new and improved fatigues. Although they aren't on the backs of our troops yet. There already seems to be several types worn by the different branches. It's the black T shirt that threw me.

I woke this morning to a spokesman in his family speaking about his capture. I pray for the Marine and his family.

Few people know of the Nazi-Arab connection. The Arabs have been smart not to go around wavinbg swastikas. But their ways are very alike. The Palestinian youth Tanzim are like the Hitler Youth. same concept.
