Well, I hope Moore's happy to have given the cowards their inspiration. I hope he's proud.

Explosions Rock Shiite City of Hilla, Iraq

The Associated Press
BAGHDAD, Iraq
Explosions rocked the center of the predominantly Shiite Muslim city of Hilla, witnesses said. There were casualties.

The city, 60 miles south of the capital, falls under the responsibility of Polish troops serving together with American forces in Iraq. The cause of the blasts was not immediately known.

The violence came two days after insurgents launched a coordinated wave of attacks across the country which left about 100 people dead. The attacks are meant to undermine confidence in the interim Iraqi government, which is set to take power Wednesday.

The term "War" should be much more prevalent than it is, for this IS WAR after all!

Any other label just belittles the seriousness of the situation.

OMG!

I hope there were no Americans among the dead and wounded.

When will this ever end. It's time to get out of Iraq ASAP.

Happy about the deaths of Americans and innocent civilians, Michael Moore smiles as he is on his way to the bank with the money of those stupid enough to buy his books and see his movies. "Americans are STUPID", claims Michael Moore.

Makes ya wonder how much he's being paid to make terrorist recruitment films.

"It's time to get out of Iraq ASAP."

And put the UN back in charge of Saddam's billions while Saddam goes back to running the Western media, building terrorist training camps and paying the families of homocide bombers? Great idea.

BTW, I have close relatives over there. Yes, they're Americans. No, they do not want to leave before the job is done.

Our troops can bravely choose to face and remove terrorists in Iraq, as they are doing (and far more effectively than the enemy) or we can fight them in our neighborhoods.

We are in a battle for the future of our nation.

Americans have died, and more will die. We have far better odds of living if we engage the enemy with our military rather than here in our malls and stadiums and high-rise buildings. Leaving Iraq is not an option. Leaving the world alone is not an option. This is a battle for civilization, not just for Iraq. Just for you and those who still don't get it, a repeat ...

Civilization is at stake here. Nothing less. If terrorism is able to play a part in changing the world in this way, not only the Islamofacists, but the Unibomber types and survivalists" and even the NOW abortionists and hyper-radical Right-to-Lifers will employ the tactic. It should not be hard for anyone to comprehend how terrorism which is so radical that it even uses kidnapping and beheading innocents as tool threatens our whole way of life.

We all must start using the word that best describes these terrorists:

BARBARIANS

Everyone must become familiar with this old concept, and realize it is now here and new again.

Barbarians brought down Rome.

Now, barbarians are at OUR gates.

They have been in existence since the dawn of man.

They now use our technological advances and our moral sensitivities to their own advantage.

This is the reason the Crusades happened.

It is high time Americans and the rest of the world understand this.

Our "thin veneer of civilization" will disappear if these barbarians are allowed to dictate on the world stage. For us to keep that from happening, we must steel ourselves to accept that we must be ready and willing if necessary to do what they did in The Crusades: "Kill them all and let God sort them out" with great apologies to those relatively powerless non-terrorists who live in their midst.

The Geneva Conventions do not apply here, much as any treaty never applies to those who have not signed that treaty or carried out its dictates. We must demand an immediate end to that discussion. We must also learn to accept that we must kill some who may not have been involved in the terrorism to get those who are... in fact, we may have to kill a lot of innocents.

We must start a discussion within the world community as to what constitutes appropriate actions now in order to protect civilization. In that discussion, we must attempt to get recognition that one part of the appropriate response is that any terrorist activity, or any support of terrorist activity, merits an immediate death penalty. We must accept that some innocents may be falsely accused and die, too. Perhaps this will cut down on seditious and borderline treasonous speech and activities, and this will help facilitate our winning the propaganda war. Whether we get this recognition from the international community or not, the United States must state that we are going to act in that way.

If we lose this war against barbarism, we face a return to a city-state or even lesser civilization.

The Middle Ages, and even the Dark Ages await us if we lose.

If we lose this war, we (including France) lose civilization.

FReegards.
