A little video to brighten your day (Warning: Graphic - RPG vs US soldiers)

Here's the accompanying email text I got:
What we have here is film highlighting a few interesting things:
Lesson 1 - If you are going to shoot an RPG at something, check the surrounding rooftops before drawing a bead.
Lesson 2 - US troops obey their rules of engagement and will not shoot your sorry ass unless you brandish a weapon.
Lesson 3 - The Iraqis know the rules of engagement.
Lesson 4 - Bodyarmor-piercing ammo is still being used against soft targets -- lesson not learned from Somalia.
Lesson 5 - US media does not show this type of newsfootage, but others do.
I don't understand the language well enough to understand what, if any, context is added to the film, but this would be good film to show here to demonstrate that the US follows its own rules of engagement. This film is proof.

Most likely the US parked some sort of armored vehicle to draw out the vermin while our soldiers patiently waited on the rooftops. It's possible his friends saw the troops before he did, based on their silly screaming.

I noticed, between the first shot and the shot that killed him, a brief moment where the man seems to realize his foolishness.
The presense of the camera crew may have rushed this fool's decision to mug some heroics despite the lack of cover.
I use the term "heroics" loosely as only he who values his life can risk it heroically. He wanted to die.

You can see what looks like a tracer go through his body and get deflected upwards after passing through. It hits the pavement on the other side of him. It misses completely. The world is not two-dimensional.

Here in Texas, 'spanish' is Tex-Mex. I could have mistaken Castillian Spanish for Italian. Latin classes were in 1971. Thanks for the catch.
