I've been trying to get to their site for days now...I'm cubicle-bound and I miss my Fox News! Any info would be appreciated
No problems here.
Sounds like your IT geeks are having some fun.
www.foxnews.com works just fine for me.
I just accessed it from my cubicle. They've tweaked the format a bit, but I can still get on.
Are you sure you're logged in?
It's there. I was just at foxnews.com a couple of minutes ago.
Maybe your boss blocked the site.
Methinks your IT guys are libs, dude - see if you can get to moveon.org with abnormal speed ;-)
I just tried and got on fine- did the cubicle police block some of your internet access?
What error message do you get? It may be that it has been blocked at your company firewall.
The whole station, I mean.
They did a re-design this week (I don't like it) and it was slow for me to reach for a while. But it's fine now.
Perhaps your system is blocking some of the sights that feed it with ads and such?
Shalom.
I have no probs with Fox at work. I just wish they'd let me access my Rush 24-7 so I could play some of those great parodies for the guys on my crew.
It's right there at www.foxnews.com
rotflmao!
Uuhhhmmm....logged in? Since when? I've never had to log in to access their site. How can I log in when I can't even access their site? Pardon my stupidity, but any help would be appreciated.
Holy cow! They're not on my TV either!
Oops, nevermind. The TVs off.
Go into your tools then internet options and see if you can fix your security level on your puter. It could be that your security for internet sites gots messed up and is now set on high level. I had a hard time getting into some websites this morning and had to reset my security on my office computer. This is just a guess but it may help.
Foxnews.com hasn't had any significant service outages that I'm aware of; in fact I am looking at their home page right now and have been able to with no problems at all.
What MAY be the problem for you is a couple of possibilities....FoxNews.com redesigned their homepage layout, and it's possible that there is some sort of incompatibility with the new coding and the LAN in your office. You may wish to check with your office network administrator to see if this site is somehow being blocked, perhaps unwittingly, either at your company's level or at the company's ISP level.
Also, there's always a chance that the block is intentional, as companies often grouse about employees spending too much time on non-work-related internet activity. If your corporate hierarchy is Leftist in their personal ideologies, there's always a chance that the block is intentional too.
