On May 19th, 2003 in San Francisco, at a symposium hosted by the American Psychiatric Association, several long-recognized categories of mental illnesses were discussed for possible removal from the upcoming edition of the psychiatric manual of mental disorders.
Among the mental illnesses being debated in the symposium at the APA's annual convention were all the paraphilias--which include pedophilia, exhibitionism, fetishism, transvestism, voyeurism, and sadomasochism.
Also being debated was Gender-Identity Disorder, a condition in which a person feels persistent discomfort with his or her biological sex. Gay activists have long claimed that Gender-Identity Disorder should not be assumed to be abnormal when, they say, it is usually an expression of healthy prehomosexuality.
Dr. Robert Spitzer responded to the symposium as a discussant, urging that the paraphilias and gender-identity disorder be retained in the psychiatric manual.

..."but shoving a pipe up the Hershey highway" to them is a type of "liberation" from traditional societal norms that have been maintained for thousands of years.
I don't call that "liberation". It is what it is: sick behavior.
Yes I am...BWAHAHAHA! BTW, do you smoke?

I'm with you....and many frequent places like, 'The Chateau' where they can have Mistress Madelyne spank them.... ;)
Spank you very much.
You said BWAHAHAHAH...when I stated that they(homosexuals) are at a far higher risk of anal cancer as compared to smokers, to which I gave the proof that they are, as stated in the homosexual newspaper "Between the Lines".
If you can say that you are still laughing after I proved you wrong then you obviously are able to laugh in the face of defeat.
An admirable quality, to say the least.
No, I don't smoke....do you?
I guess misery loves company. As well, I should say that the mental health pro's who counsel those who come to see them is like the lunatics guarding the insane asylum.
That was your line and I found it humorous, as in smokers get anal cancer by smoking thru their ass. It just struck me as funny. I realize I haven't studied anal cancer at all, as I know you have. Please pardon me.
I'm deeply saddened that you have no sense of humor.

Homosexual Agenda Ping - The last ping of the night (I hope!).
It's actually an article from last year, but very relevant. Fits in with other things. Such as the previous "Shrek" thread.
Chime in, if you like!
Let me (or Scripter) know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
Thanks for posting this article - even though it's from last year, it's very relevant and timely. Helps to support the arguments you and I (and some others) made about the Shrek2 movie on the other thread.
Render dangerous things harmless by laughter, and then they become "cute" and somehow normal. It's a tactic proven to work.
"You will never find a bigger collection of perverts than the Mental Health industry."
You could try the average Catholic Diocese.
Actually though there was a time in the 1980's when about 25% of the Psychiatry faculty of Harvard Medical School was under investigation by the State Board and various prosecutors for a panoply of criminal and/or ethical violations related to their practice.
One influential outsider who worked to protect a female perpetrator in a famous case resulting in the suicide of a male med student/patient was Doris Kearns Goodwin, the incompetent and unethical plagiarist much loved by liberals everywhere despite her own sexual degeneracies with LBJ.
"Reality is contrary to leftist thinking."
Yup. "Liberalism is the politics of denial.
Conservatism is the politics of reality."
--Buzzard's axioms.
If the godless nitwits in the APA okay this garbage, our culture is doomed.
Goodwin is to history as napkin doodles are to Rembrandt.
"The staff in mental institutions are required to wear distinctive name-tags."
Yuk-yuk. There actually was a time when nurses and doctors in "mental wards" wore white uniforms, like any other hospital unit of that era. In the sixties, basically, the movement to "destigmatize' led to the replacement of uniforms with civilian garb.
The old saw has it that a visitor to a psych ward observed that staff and patients dressed alike.
He asked, "How do you tell the patients from the staff?"
The answer was, "The Patients are the ones who get better and go home!"
Harry Potter and Christopher Lowell.
Political correctness kills.
Often intentionally.
Yeah, she's a real intellectualoid 'ho.
The same Book mentions and condemns bestiality. Technology has changed - people haven't. There used to be a pastor in Corpus Christi who said, re the then-new thing of calling being a drunk a "disease": "Well, if it is, it's the first one that's got a state tax on it."
