Breaking from Al Jazeera.

both of you please calm down.
as far as I can tell, all of us here are on the same side and in complete agreement over how this war must be fought.
Yawn.
Is that why there have been far fewer attacks on our soldiers/Marines since the story broke?
Not likely. The reason is because Sadr was stupid enough to send his "soldiers" into the meat grinder and got a few thousand of them killed. Even salamikazes tend to notice such things.
Just posted a related comment moments before I got the news.
In Fritz Hollings' idiotic rant in that South Carolina newspaper a few eeeks ago, he made one very cogent point about the whole thing: Terrorism is a method, not an enemy.
This country has never waged a successful war against a nebulous "enemy" like this. In fact, a list of such wars in recent history reads like a litany of one dismal failure after another: "War on Drugs," "War on Poverty," War on Illiteracy," blah, blah, blah . . .
'Scuse me while I vomit for a while.
Where's the "friendly" advice at? The irony is that you just keep telling them to shut up and im simply telling you your position doesn't require moderation of other posters. Im sure one of the moderators will delete their posts if they agree with you.
You are telling them to shut up about detailing the distinct differences between beheadings and panty hats. You call it "freindly advice". Sounded like an order to me.
I like Israel's policy vis-a-vis various heads of Hammas...
At the risk of being flamed,
I can't find fault in your # 126.
What gives yall?
Where is Christian4Bush out of line?
Our enemy in the WAR on Terror is not nebulous. We're just unwilling to totally eliminate it.
The cry for MOABs is simply an expression of frustration. Accept it for what it is, not as a suggestion of strategy.
He's been very consistent, all along. It's a religion of peace, hijacked by terrorists.
Doesn't matter that the rank and file Muslims around the world (those you might call moderate because they don't personally bomb or behead anyone), have not forcefully condemned Muslims who commit terror acts. We mustn't even profile them.
Hmm. "You're either with us or with the terrorists." Why doesn't that apply to the millions of Muslims who remain silent rather than condemn terrorism?
Lyndon Johnson presided over a half-hearted war. He was too fastidious to nuke the enemy. George Bush now presides over a war we can only lose by default, by political hyper-correctness.
I can't imagine the US taking a spontaneous hard line against Islam itself. But it's easy to imagine the US pulling its punches in the name of tolerance. I worry about Bush losing the election, but I worry more about him losing the war.
Thank you. Finally a voice of sanity.
Folks, I know we are upset, but this bickering is playing right into the hands of our enemies and the DU crowd. Keep it up and don't be surprised to see John Kerry elected.
Kim's remains were found by American Soldiers in W. Baghdad.
LOL!!!! Looks like I'm on track to win today's "Keyboard General Bingo" game.
Just ignore the ole man like everyone else. It's much easier that way. Don't worry, i'll continue to post as I see fit.
"I am pretty sick and tired of this Administration's lack of fortitude, and that never ending cr*p of 'Islam Is Peace'. Screw Islam and anyone that supports it."
Yup.
Exactly. And the first clue that we were unwilling to "totally eliminate it" was when we didn't even want to identify it in the first place.
What a freakin' joke.
Perhaps you're right. DMZ has decided to question my education level, and my irrational "ranting".
Every time I've heard the "so much for progress" whenever someone dies, especially when something like this happens, it has ALWAYS been a slam on President Bush and the military. If what was meant was that progress in the negotiation failed, then I agree...though I doubt that "negotiation" would work, anyway.
At least you are the first person not to slam me, about my opinion. Thanks for that...although I am in the war zone of ideas, and some won't fight fair. I'm ready to defend myself.
I think the orange suits are used because of the orange suits that the Guantanamo wackos are seen in.
