Yeah, I've never been a Stern fan either, but this jump to Satelitte radio sounds like a big deal. Twenty five years from now, grandparents will be telling their grandchildren how they used to pick up their favorite baseball game from a distant clear-channel AM station via the "skip" late at night.
Missed Russert and wonder if he 'corrected' the record to dispute the way Williams/Matthews have taken Cheney's comments on MTP out of context. They all work for NBC yet with Russert's cracker jack researchers, I find it troubling that no on bothered to look at the full transcript to correct the record. Had they, they would clearly have heard Cheney respond NO when Tim asked if Cheney felt 9/11 and Saddam were connected.
That hotlink for radio talk show streaming doesn't work for me...do you have an update for it?
Thank you for pinging me to the daily talk show thread. Though I rarely post, I always check (since I got my laptop/notebook for up here in our 'smoking lounge' screen porch) in July.
I heard doug from upland and John O'Neil yesterday on Michael Medved, too. Stand-in host Peter something.
I missed Russert's interview, but boy are you right about this taking Cheney's statement out of context. He was clearly referring to not seeing The Breck Girl on the senate floor which is true.
I would expect this sort of behavior out of Dan Rather, but nobody I know has called Russert on these cheap shot tactics.
John Thune coming up on Laura Ingraham's radio show.
A MSNBC reporter on Imus's radio show said that Martha snuck into her new home around 6:15 AM this morning.
Computer disc found in Iraq contained details on schools in six states, including Georgia
She was all over that Russian School hostage crisis when it happened.
Thanks for the updated list-I bookmarked it!
C-span is great for all their links. I always check out Washington Journal. I tape Imus so I can buzz through it to get past commercials, etc. Listen to Rush live on WLS Chgoland. KRLA streaming for Michael Medved (Bennett, Hewitt, Praeger, also archived).
Laura says she is going to talk to Pat B. in a little while. Caught her talking to Thune-hope he wins!
Monica Crawley(sp?) streams?!? Great!
Do G.G.Liddy, Ollie and Michael Reagan stream?
Thanks agaiin for all your help, McGruff!
Should I wait for Rush on Monday or get live post-debate analyses from REPUBLICAN RADIO on Saturday? ^ |

This evening at 8:00 PM Eastern:
Interview
Tour of Duty: John Kerry and the Vietnam War
C-SPAN
Washington, District of Columbia (United States)
ID: 183850 - 10/11/2004 - 1:00 - No Sale
Brinkley, Douglas, Director, University of New Orleans, Eisenhower Center
Douglas Brinkley will be interviewed about his book Tour of Duty: John Kerry and the Vietnam War, published by William Morrow. Professor Brinkley will talk about how he came the write the book, the controversy surrounding John Kerry's Vietnam service, Senator Kerry's run for the presidency, and more.
Newsweek's Jonathan Alter says it will be interesting to see if Kerry uses Reeves in the debate on Wed, a dangerous thing to do, Alter says. Jonathan Alter says Edwards and Kerry aren't prepared to mention their mistakes either.
Alter says Kerry appeared with Jesse Jackson yesterday, because it's all about base turn-out now, same thing Bush did in the debate, with his base.
Imus said Bush will win because whether you agree with him or not, you know where he stands, and you can't even understand Kerry's position. Alter doesn't know who will win, but Kerry is getting more successful at making Bush's record the issue, as it should be. Better late than never, says Alter. ''
Howard Fineman agrees with Imus that Edwards was lame yesterday on MTP. Imus says, "And don't claim you're an enviromentalist and own a $500,000 gas guzzling boat like Kerry has, whizzing by my house!!
Democrats tell Fineman privately, Kerry blew it on Friday, by not hitting Bush on jobs and the economy. Fineman said Kerry doesn't have any big ideas, he just keeps talking about bringing people to the table. Kerry's interview in Sunday Times wasn't helpful, because he compared terrorism to the gambling.
Imus says Diedera thinks Bush is much easier to understand than Kerry. Fineman says Bush's best moment came when he said, "I've made unpopular decisions". Fineman says Kerry's worst moments were on social issues. and when Bush said he couldn't even decipher Kerry's answer on abortion, most people at home watching probably were thinking the same thing, said Fineman.
MSNBC just read Kerry's entire long, too long, and drawn out statement on Reeve's death. "Teresa and I blah blah blah blah blah blah...."
My gut felt the same way when Kerry made his remark Friday night.
As always, good recap. I missed most of Alter and Fineman this morning.
