Tell me ONE lie I've told about the church?
That they refused to let separated/divorced women and men receive the sacrament? Nope. That happened to tens of thousands of people.
That they have let priests sexually abuse children? Nope. THat isn't a lie. It came out in their hearings that they KNOWLINGLY moved "problem" priests. Moved them so they could abuse sexually more unsuspecting children.
You want to defend that? Go right ahead.
I have stated on this thread that I miss the church. I loved the church. But it has a past. And it isn't pretty. But be an appeaser. Let the priests keep abusing children and ruining lives. Then look yourself in the mirror and keep telling yourself that is Christian.
All bishops?
All priests?
That is what you are implying, and it is calumny. The majority of our priests are good men.
For one thing, you need to get your story straight when you use your bio to attack the Church. You keep changing it. It's probably highly fictionalized, either on purpose or because you were too young to understand, but you could at least keep it consistent.
For another thing, as I've pointed out, you said the Church opposed freedom for Iraqis, which is totally false. You said the Church (it was actually certain bishops) moved abusive priests around SO THEY COULD abuse more kids -- obviously that was not the intent.
Your disgusting accusations have no place in civilized discussion.

Yes, the Catholic Church has made mistakes in the past and they have apologized for some of them.
Once, again, I invite you to go to a Returning Catholics class and delve into this issue -- thus finding out the facts.
Then you can make an informed conscience decision about what you want to do.
You would most likely be welcomed back to the Church if you decided to look into it. Plenty of people have discovered the very same thing.
You want to defend that? Go right ahead.
Peach, can you point to any post by any freeper that actually defends the abuse of children by anyone, be they priest, bishop or other? Theres a difference between defending the divine institution that is the Church and defending those who serve as her administrators. Don't let your emotions cloud your ability to see clearly.
