I agree. Both Hill and Bill seemed to be speaking off the cuff and so, not at all effectively--poor in fact. President Bush was excellent even tho' it was tough to have to listen to what he said. The product of his good up-bringing... People with manners know that you never embarrass or humiliate your guests.

I agree with several other Freepers--the portraits have a kind of "cheesey" quality. They don't look like they were done by a really well trained, talented classical artist.
Doesn't bother me though--those not so great paintings will be in the White House mirroring the tackiness of the two "not greats" who sat for them for a very time.

The Bush daughters are natural beauties. Chelsea will never be as pretty as them but she has done a good job and she looks very pretty. She also looks like she is in Love something her parents know nothing about!

It would have been more appropriate if his hands were in the taxpayer's pockets.

..you are right...it is uncivil to remark on the young lady's looks....she can't help it.

But I think we respond sometimes as spillover from the hideous, evil, twisted, hypocritical parents she belongs to, and seems to be proud of.

It is all beyond comprehension....

..I truly believe she has had 'something major' done.....
..she can afford it...
..it's an almost commonplace procedure now.

I simply can't bring myself to call her lovely.

Lovely, to me, includes the heart as well as the face, and I haven't seen any loveliness emerge from this young woman.

It's a fact.....the Clintons bring out the worst in us!!!!..sorry!

As usual, I can't remember anything he said except for the end comment about politics needing to not be personal.

Well, this time I do remember some things he said----because they were so bizarre.

His "cute" anecdote about a boy seeing him and saying he thought all presidents were dead sounded even stranger when an MSNBC reporter recounted it as a charming story (it did not sound more charming the second time around, only more weird). Then he did that story about the cartoonist portraying him as the victim of a chainsaw massacre.

Chelsea has had some major industrial type work done. Look at the chin! She used to look like a brook trout. Also I think the cheekbones have been added to to rid her of the "moon face" look she used to have.

Once again, there are some on this forum that do not understand that regardless of how the Democrats treat President Bush, his best response is to be gracious and kind.

There are many more on this forum that not only agree with you, but preceded you in making the same points. Your effort to paint all of us in a false light is not appreciated. You said you weren't directing your comments to one person, then spoke of the "many" on "this forum" as if the general consensus went the opposite of your POV, when it did not, which is why I chose to take issue with your decision to chastise us.
