THE HIP-HOP VOTE -- The Rapper Road To Armageddon?
ICONOCLAST ^ | By Hans Zeiger

Posted on 06/13/2004 2:05:54 PM PDT by clintonbaiter

America's finest advocate for "social justice" and "equality" is none other than Eminem, the popularly revolting rapper whose recent lyrics glorify such things as drugs, murder, rape, and other sorts of atrocious pastimes. Eminem is the quintessential homophobe and the quintessential chauvinist, but he is quite celebrated in the corner of the Left that had him as the keynote speaker for last weekend's Detroit Hip-Hop Summit, an effort to register young gangsta's to vote.

Eminem himself is not a voter, for he is a convicted felon. But that did not deter the organizer of the Hip-Hop Summit, Russell Simmons. Simmons created the quarter billion dollar Def Jam Records empire, built the rap music industry and helped make it into a depraved culture of its own. In 2001, Simmons founded the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network to harness "the cultural relevance of Hip-Hop music to serve as a catalyst for education advocacy and other societal concerns fundamental to the well-being of at-risk youth."

Ironic about the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network is that at-risk youth are at risk precisely because they listen to Eminem's music and follow the twisted social thinking of Russell Simmons. Of course, at-risk youth have other negative influences, but it certainly doesn't help things when Eminem is chanting, "B**tch, I'ma kill you, you don't wanna f*** with me!" ....

Just the eager young voters America needs right now. NOT!

Those hiphoppers are ridiculous in their attire. Unfortunately, every teen and young adult with nothing better to do seems to see fit to imitating them and hanging out in the mall.

I dread the mall these days. Everywhere I go, I see a group of them with their sideways ballcaps and visors, pants big enough to stuff a car into, giant jerseys, and twenty cent vending machine jewelry.

Anyone listening to this bilge isn't an eager young voter.

Most of the hip-hop scene have lost their voting rights, anyway.

I have not been in a mall in 2 years for precisely the reasons you state. The only things worse than gangstarappas are the white women who sleep with date them and the white kids that immitate them. [And no the truth is not PC]

Ok folks. One of my soldiers would like me to send him hiphop music. Unfortunately (nah fortunately), I don't know anything about that genre. Any recommendations????

Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

What is wrong with blacks and whites dating? Do you have the same hostility towards whites and asians or blacks and asians?

be careful:

"Then we went into the music store. It was the same thing. There were racks of tapes and records by Christian pop groups, Christian folk groups, Christian heavy-metal groups, Christian reggae groups, all of them singing original compositions about the Lord. No album was actually titled I Found God and Lost My Talent, but I'm sure that was just an oversight. There was even a "Christian Rap Music" cassette called Bible Break:

The Bible is a holy book
So let's open it up and take a look
You got Genesis
Exodus
Leviticus
Deuteronomy

And so on to Revelations with a complete lack of rhythm or meter. (I was witnessing a miracle, I was sure, or auditing one anyway: Here was something that sounded worse than genuine rap.)"

I'm old and am not supposed to understand the ways of children.

My pop went ballistic on me for playing CSNY (look it up!) when I was 19 and in college. One-upping the previous generation results in some nasty musicians.

You're right. The truth is not PC. And the truth is that you are a flaming bigot. It's neither your nor my business who anyone else dates or marries.

Yep. Welcome back to America.

There is absolutely zero...nothing, nada...redeeming about hip-hop, rap, crap, whatever you call it. I used to say that rap was for people who couldn't sing but still wanted to make it in the music biz. I now say its for ignorant, anti-American bigoted racists who can't sing, but who want to push their racist agenda and make it in the music biz.

Those of you who don't believe me, listen to your local hip-hop station for an hour tomorrow, if you can stomach it. Along with the barely toned down sexual innuendo, you'll hear all about how Bush planned 9-11 as a means of killing thousands of blacks. I'm not kidding...I heard that one the other day at work.

Hip-hop is yet another symptom of the disease that's killing our nation.

Furthermore, rap isn't even music, by definition. Music is, after all, an art form consisting of rhythm, melody, and harmony. Breaking it down, we see rap has rhythm galore, but as its not sung, it contains no melody. Since it has no melody, it cannot have harmony. Therefore, rap is by definition only1/3 music.

Well it is hard to rhyme when you use real words and try and put forth a coherent story. Christian groups would do alot better if they just started making words up and rapping about nothing.
