I seem to recall at least one of the "Left Behind" scenarios as beginning with an Israeli find of immense oil. Fascinating stuff.

My thanks to both of you!! What you have described is probably exactly what Medved was talking about! (Must have been one of THOSE days for my one-track mind.)

Thought everyone might like a recent update. It seems the Ness founder, Harold "Hayseed" Stephens died several years ago from complications (heart attack) following a blood clot which occurred during a flight from Israel. The company, now run by his son, is STILL on solid footing. Here's the latest financial report (this copy obtained on Yahoo):

"Press Release Source: Ness Energy International, Inc.

Ness Energy: $1,000,000 Income Estimate April And June Estimate to Equal or Exceed, Largest Quarterly Income Projected in Ness History for Israeli Vision
Monday June 7, 12:03 pm ET

WILLOW PARK, Texas & NETANYA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 2004--Ness Energy International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NESS - News) announced, subject to financial statements being prepared, April income approached an estimated $1,000,000, the largest monthly income in the Company history, and current month (June) income is expected to reach or exceed $1,000,000, projecting the largest quarterly income in Ness history (Second Quarter), supplying cash from the business, for the first time in Ness history, to support our efforts here and see the company vision for Israel come to pass. The results are both in use and allocated for Texas operations, acquisitions and Israeli operations, and related needs. For example, the recent Texas acquisitions were funded from April income.

Ness President Sha Stephens confirmed, "I am thrilled. Ness has experienced the largest monthly income in our history, far exceeding any income for any past period of Ness, this income being derived from oil & gas sales, using our assets to grow the company and doing so without any stock sales from the company. I estimate our quarterly report will confirm income in excess of $1,000,000 based on April alone." ...

June Income Projected

President Stephens further stated, "As disclosed last week in a release, we expect to complete another deal with a large independent oil and gas company in the very near future. Based upon the circumstances of this one, and our past experience, we project monthly income for June may equal or exceed April. This quarter (April, May, and June, 2004) will reflect the largest income in Ness history. These figures confirm an upward trend in income, accompanying the upward trend in assets and revenue from production, previously announced."

Reliance on Financing Reduced, Results Support Israeli Vision

Ness plan of operations have, until now, consistently relied upon equity and debt transactions to fund operations while Ness sought to build cash flow. Like many public companies, Ness relied heavily on stock or similar financing transactions for funding. Another first for Ness ... through financing transactions remain an option, Ness has and continues to generate, other cash to meet operational demands. Numerous times Ness has stated it needs to have cash flow to support its Israeli vision, that Ness should explore Israel to find oil for Israel.

President Stephens stated, "I have repeatedly said, first, the vision for Israel requires us to build a Texas oil and gas producing company to support the Israeli efforts. Though we have a way to go, for the first time we have cash, and this cash will be properly allocated, including providing support of direct and indirect efforts in Israel."

About Ness-The Vision

The current business of the Company is focused upon development and execution of oil and gas exploration plans with a focus both on pursuits in the petroleum rich State of Texas, and also in the Middle East, specifically Israel. Ness believe Israel, in particular the southwest end of The Dead Sea, is a place where "Science and The Bible shake hands" and that Ness will achieve the vision of the location and recovery of an abundant source of oil and gas in Israel..."

How can such incredible news be kept under wraps so well? God's plan is incredible, and we are on His schedule.

This thread is just one of many reasons to offer daily thanks for FR...

You are probably right being skeptical about this, but wouldn't it be fun to see the French (nay, European) reaction if Israel turned into an oil exporting country?

Skeptical, true!?! However, why would it not be possible to discover oil-wells on Israel's soil? There's lot of oils fields in close proximity in that area!

Oil in the Holy Land...hmmm...and to get to it, there will have to be a Hole in the Oily Land.

Nyuk! Nyuk!

I think it was the Israeli author/humorist Ephraim Kishon who wrote a book called: "Why no oil, Moses?"

Why, of all countries in the Mid East is Isreal the only one (almost) without large oil finds? I don't know what the geologist says, but yes, why not?

It would be great!

"Some have speculated that this oil find is part of what will drag Russia by a 'hook in its jaw' to attack Israel (some say, China as well will be coming after the oil as the Biblical "King of the East" with a massive army."

Actually, GOD said, "I'm going to put a hook in your jaw and draw you down". The "down" they're being drawn to is Israel, but it's not specifically for the oil.

In Isaiah 17:1, it says, "The burden of Damascus. It has been taken away from being a city, it has become a ruinous heap." Now .. I don't know about you, but I can think of only one thing which would cause Damascus to become a ruinous heap .. Israel's nukes!

What would prompt Israel to use these nukes you ask ..?? Some years ago, the Jerusalem Post wrote a story about a moat which had been built around the city of Damascus - and inside the moat were scud missles - all pointed at Israel. Hmmmm? Now that the news is leaking out that a major portion of the WMD from Iraq went to Syria, could the Syrians be planning on using some of it in the tips of their scud missles - and letting them fly at Israel ..??

I don't know what will trigger Isaiah 17:1 to come to pass, but Israel will be justified in doing it. However, the world (the lefties) will be livid and mass together and march (from the north) to get rid of Israel forever. Just look at a map and you will see France, China, Russia, and all their muslim subcountries, are all in the north from Israel.

There's just one little item these countries have overlooked .. GOD is going to meet them in the Valley of Miggido and defeat them ALL (Eke 38,39). This is not the battle of Armageddon.

After this event, it will be approx a year or so for the church to bring in the final harvest.

By the way .. for those of you who choose not to believe this .. that's okay with me. I heard this prophesy in 1985 and it's still as vivid to me today. I'm just telling you all this so you'll be calm when these events happen and you can calm others.

Quix - George Otis's name was mentioned by the person who gave this prophesy. So, George does know some things about the oil.

Great post.

Where do you get that after that battle, there will be a year or so to bring in the harvest.

Not disagreeing, I just don't recall hearing of that before.

Blessings,

It was part of the prophesy. I believe it came from the fact the scripture says Israel will take 7 months to bring in all the armament left on the battlefield in the valley after the war. I believe it is thought that this is some kind of indication of how much time is left before the church leaves the earth .. more or less a year's period of time.

If my memory of those Scriptural prophecies is accurate, the Bible says that Israel will live off the remains of the battle for 7 years.

Some have taken the fact that some of the armament on Russian tanks is a wood based product. And that therefore, it will result in Israel burning the pieces of that wood product for 7 years.

We shall see.

Hard for me to speculate with so much specificity at this point.

Yes, I've heard that too. However, since that 7 years could represent the time after the rapture, I won't be here to find out. LOL!!

And .. I agree .. it's difficult to be that specific.
