I am sure that he wanted to put down anything else. As you can see on this thread allot of speculations and disruptors.
Rush is a real gift of history in a way and is pretty much in a league that few play in. After all Don Imus brags of his exploits on cocaine and as an alcholic.
I'm glad Rush is who he is and doesn't try to make everyone happy. In therapy, Rush learned that he couldn't make people happy, that people are in control of their own happiness.
After reading some of the posts here, I'm glad he learned that valuable lesson.
I stated in my first post that I would not vote for anyone but Bush. My dislike for Rush is based in the fact that he is not a nice person.
Several people on this thread have posted about McCain's campaign finance reform debacle being a valid reason for Rush to trash him personally. That's not right, and if you'd pay attention, you'd see that President Bush knows that, too. Do you see the president trashing his political opponents personally? No. You see him reaching out to them and demonstrating the proper way to behave. He would never be a small man like Rush.
Rush is a small, petty person, and I simply cannot believe how some people idolize him.

OH Please. If Nancy Reagan at her age can care for her husband for 10 years while he's essentially a vegetable, I'm certain good ol' Marta can handle Rush.
But then again, you almost always gleefully cheer for the divorcing wife about to CASH IN I've noticed.
I said on another post that I'm absolutely in awe of Nancy Reagan and what she did for her husband. She is the standard bearer for good wives everywhere.
Poor ol' Rush had years of extreme spinal pain, got addicted to pain killers because of it, lost his hearing, is constantly attacked by the media and the Left, got fired from ESPN unfairly, is being investigated by an wacko liberal DA, and what does his faithfil wife do?

When all is said and done, a 34 year old single mother (Marta) married one of the wealthiest and successful men on the planet. In his time of need, she divorces his ass and becomes an instant multi-millionaire. I certainly would like to become a multi-millionaire from being a house-husband for 10 years.

There are certain people in everyone's life that bring out the worst in us. I think McCain does that with Rush. McCain is a very petty man and has been known to be quite mean and vindictive himself. McCain's temper is quite famous here in Arizona and we all knew that he wouldn't be able to contain it during the 2000 campaign and he didn't let us down.
I meant no offense about wasting your vote, I just know too many people who do waste their vote on principle. However, they not only don't get half a loaf, they get no loaf for their civic duty.
And, no, I don't idolize Rush and don't always agree with him. But, I also don't think that Rush feels anything but regret that he is unable to maintain a personal relationship.
What made it obvious? They seemed to love each other at first.

I don't know what the hell you're talking about. However, marriage is a two way street. I love Rush, but he is SELF-DESTRUCTIVE. How do you know he still wanted to be married, huh? I don't know and you don't know. But the facts are the facts and I don't think 10 years is geting married and "cashing in."

The comments suggest a personal involvment with this issue.
First, I was talking about his success as a radio talk show host. Second, my reply wasn't to you regarding the jealousy. Third, I love Rush Limbaugh for his mind and sense of humor; it just so happens that those attributes made him a success.
Go ahead, jump on the bandwagon and try to drag that icon Rush Limbaugh down. Rush has millions of people who think highly of him and understand that his drug addiction was not caused by use of recreational drugs. I sure wouldn't want to be judged by your measure since I married the same man twice and divorced him both times.
HE'S the one who wanted out of the marriage.
Your tirade against Marta, the woman who saved Rush's life by forcing him to lose weight, is completely out of line.
Rush has a zeppelin-sized ego, and, apparently, has not learned the first thing about how to live with a woman.
He couldn't live with them when he was poor, and he can't do it when he's rich.
I love Rush, but, emotionally, he's an absolute mess.
I may need to correct this to say that it was his action and not hers.
