The New York Post ^ | June 11, 2004 | Richard Johnson

RUSH Limbaugh put out a statement yesterday that he and his third wife, Marta, had separated — but only after PAGE SIX called to confirm what we'd learned exclusively. Sources in Palm Beach say Marta dumped the burly blowhard and vacated the couple's home on North Ocean Boulevard. The two are quietly working out a divorce agreement. Limbaugh met Marta on the Internet and they married in 1994. Since

Not a single word of truth in this article. I am sure he dumped her and that's good news for single women everywhere.

I have already said this before: Rush should meet and marry one of the Freeper cuties and have some kids!

Sorry about that.

NC and SC have some of the best beaches in the country. I used to think New England would be cool, that is before I found the Carolinas coast, with Hatteras being considered one of the best in the world. Besides Bermuda, Kiawah was the closest to paradise I have gotten.

Oh, Kiawah is gorgeous, no question about it.

But we have Jekyll, Cumberland, Blackbeard, and dozens of little named and unnamed islands all up and down the GA coast. Builders around here are quite used to setting up a couple of barges and floating all their materials and a generator over to a little postage-stamp island that can only be reached by boat.

I don't mention Sea Island or St. Simons Island because they're so overdeveloped, you might as well be in Atlanta. Plus you get the deerflies.

"I hope nothing but the best for Rush and Marta, BOTH of them. They've got enough to pick up without outsiders throwing darts."

I agree with your assessment...We have three wonderful children and 6 grandkids..(what a joy!) but you made a point I didn't come clear on. I was trying to tell everyone how NOT to be a target...no target...no darts needed!

They had a pre-nup. Look it up.

I can't believe that you guys automatically think it's her fault. That's the mentality that makes women leave men.

It sounds as if you have a lot of experience in that area.

Typicaly, a Pre-Nup covers assets that were acquired prior to the marriage. Everything acquired after the wedding falls under Community Property.

Couple of small problems with your analysis:

It isn't at all clear that she, in some ways, didn't facilitate the dependence or even "supply;"

We don't know that he "dealt with the maid." There is no evidence, only rumor based on a DA's (so far, secret---but leaked) information. It is just as plausible that SHE "dealt with the maid" and is/was up to her eyeballs in this.

There is no evidence that the hearing disorder is connected to the drug use. This is, from what I've read, a myth.

He had a pre nup. No court will do anything.

I think it was HER idea to move to Palm Beach---and if so, it was monumentally stupid to think that his money would "buy" her a spot in society. Talk to the Pulitzer chick about that. He was a fool for spending that kind of money on her---and, by the way, she has her own condo there. It's listed in the Palm Beach board of registers under her name.

Does anyone know what the date of their tenth anniversary is? I wonder if a clause in the prenup triggered?

I'm no lawyer, but as I understand a pre nup, it can say whatever the hell you want it to say, including a prohibition on publishing anything, regardless of when assets were acquired. Otherwise, a slick lawyer would be able to argue that the value of the assets before the marriage were dramatically changed by the context of the marriage.

Right on, young lady.

I met my current (and final) wife at work in 1990. She was the receptionist. I was Director level. We moved in together after a year. A year after that, I was laid off. (Middle Management suits have targets painted on them).

I was unemployed for almost 20 months. We lived on her clerical salary. I delivered pizza for Dominos. She never complained or thought less of me.

From 1994 to 2001 I made 6 figures. We enjoyed the freedom and the lifestyle. She was proud of "her honey".

I consulted for a time and made $800.000 a day. She like that too.

Today, I own and operate a small grocery store in rural Virgina. I work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day. I make about $600 per week. The 4,000K sq ft house, the boats and cars are all gone. We put every dime we had into this. She accepts that.

She is a rock. She is my love. It was never about money. It was about "us". Every time it gets bad, she says "We'll do better soon. Don't give up."

FWIW, she's a stoned fox and could have anyone she wanted. She didn't have to stay with a "loser".

Christ, the woman makes me feel like what Nancy must have made Ronnie feel like.

Meanwhile, my up-line VP was laid off the same time I was in '91. His trophy honey (An AOL VP) dumped him the very next day.

Go figure.......

Please give me love and friendship over money!......

After 30 years, I think a woman deserves half of what the marriage has accumulated. Don't you?

Ole Rush, is kind of a wreck! emotional problems, physical problems, social problems, legal problems. Unless he is as strong as an ox he is going to break down.

What are you talking about.

I was just ribbing you from reading one of those last threads about dogs or horses or whatever that you chimed in with your legitimate concern against abortion, which I share, and the context in which you sometimes insert such concern.

I don't hit the abuse button. That is for old wash women and pussies.
