If I'm not mistaken, the reason Ford had to pony up so much is cause he was cheating on his wife. If Rush wasn't unfaithful, why should he have to pay big bucks just to keep her in the lifestyle to which his income had gotten her accustomed?

No he doesn't seem like good marriage material, considering he's been married three times. Either he's a poor judge of women, or he's got so many problems that his wives couldn't deal with it. IMO, his audience is the most important thing to him.
