The national organization, Move America Forward, is asking Americans who are offended by Michael Moore's "Bash America" movie to voice their opinions to movie industry executives.
We've compiled a list of email addresses and other contact information for the leading movie industry chains - as well for those theaters who have already announced their intention to show "Fahrenheit 9/11."
Please Note - We note Mr. Moore's constitutional right to free speech. What we also acknowledge that Mr. Moore and his backers seem uncomfortable with is that the millions of Americans who are offended by his lies, his attacks on our troops and our president have the right to speak up and say what we think about his "documentary" to the people who will profit from showing it.
Please read more about our efforts - this is the link - http://www.moveamericaforward.org/newsmax/
Yeah! Let him keep eating them until his heart stops!
Geee.... guys.... just because someone criticizes America, THEY MUST HATE IT!!! That's right, dissent sure is a bad thing! MIchael Moore hates America, and freedom, and Mom and apple pie, too.
I doubt he hates apple pie.
See, I would think that ad hominem attacks like that (he's fat... have you seen Rush Limbaugh?) would be deleted before mine. Dissenting views are nice to have, especially on a board like this, because otherwise the board is nothing more than back-patting and "Yeah!"s.
Don't you think that maybe, just maybe, it's kind of going far to assume that because Moore criticizes America, he hates it? When Democrats are in power and you criticize them, does that mean that you hate America?
Delting this post too just proves me right, by the way.
I myself am a registered Republican and certainly don't accept everything Moore presents in his films as truth, but at the same time, isn't it somewhat contradictory to that "freedom" concept you claim to support to boycott every opposing view? In the words of Aristotle, "The mark of an educated mind is the ability to entertain an idea without necessarily accepting it." You seem unwilling to even entertain Moore's.
Have any of you who are so offended by this film actually even seen it?
Do all dissenting views get deleted? Is this an actual debate or are we only allowed to agree on topics including "Moore is fat" and "Moore hates America"?
I'd really like an honest answer.
I think the question to MM is how does he feel about the guys who dont think Germany had gas chambers....should we listen to them
It's a good point you raise and that's exactly what we are doing :)
Check out the bottom (the three bullets) of today's World Net Daily story. The report is derived from a press release we issued last night.
Today we are also putting out a release regarding the terrorist group Hezbollah's endorsement of the film.
I find it odd that in a world of all the conservative talk show hosts that are on radio and TV almost every day of the week, for months and years on end, that conservatives would get so up in arms about a film that will be out for only few months.
Conservatives are too used to monopolizing the airwaves that it seems a bit paranoid that they are worried about one or two slanted films.
Have to agree with Sec 9. Besides, are some Conservatives really that intimidated by anything Michael Moore or his kind stir up? I'd hope not.
Be Seeing You,
jla
thank God for DVDs...
down with censorship.
Let people make up their own minds.
too bad that alot of you guys are going to make up your minds (or already have) about a film you haven't seen yet. And you won't go see it most likely. Yet you'll have strong opinions about it. And think it shouldn't be shown.
How weak-minded can you get?
I like that move america forward (who, if successful, would do anything but) have now put on their site, now that they've been exposed for who and what they are, that they are not into censorship, but just the right to say what they think about the film. Of course they always speak for 'the troops'. Well, if you support the troops, then support the values of this country that they are supposed to be fighting for. I bet they would.
an obviously doctored photo.
yet you accused Moore of manipulation and propaganda?

yet you accused Moore of manipulation and propaganda?
You found me out,I'll go repent
