Isn't the 'guy behind' Gerald Ford? Looks like Betty next to him.

I swear, if that band breaks into "Auld Lang Syne" as the plane departs, I'll lose it totally!

I will always think kindly of him.

He was a good and decent man, both in public life and out of office, something that two of the presidents sitting there cannot claim (Clinton for obvious reasons, Carter for his recent mean-spiritedness).

Ford's honor was from his peers in the Congress, their faith in him and acknowledgement that he would do the right thing.

I have also always believed that once again, God's Providence for this nation was shown when Gerald Ford was elevated to the Presidency.

Jerry Ford doing something with his nose.

it's called scratching (:-) or perhaps wiping a tear.

"He was concentrating on how wonderful freedom, democracy , capitalism etc are....LOL..yeah thats the ticket : ) I think I can only hope at this point that by the time his time comes that liberalism is a word as horrid as communism and terrorism : )"

I thought he was fantasizing about his own grand send-off when it's his time. He is a legend in his own mind and all.

you'd have to be a low life to protest the funeral of any u.s. president, no matter how much i might disagree with that president.

it's the office, stupid!

Well, I can just see him saying it with that delighted twinkle in his eye. God rest his sweet soul.

I'm not so sure I agree with that pertaining to Patti. She did write a book called Angels Don't Die: My Father's Gift of Faith

Surely, some of Dutch's faith has rubbed off on her. Enough for her to pay tribute to his faith with a book.

SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN TOUCHED MOST DEEPLY IN HIS HEART AND SPIRIT IN A WAY THAT SEEMS TO BE RATHER CONGRUENT WITH REAGAN'S VALUES AND IN WAYS THAT SEEM TO ELUDE RON AND PATTI.

Just got here--TV in different room than the computer--

Are you talking about Clintoon??? What the heck was WRONG with his face? It looked swollen, and like you said his eyelid kept drooping? (If you weren't talking about him, I still want to know what was wrong with his face)

It was Bernard Goldberg pointing out, and Wolf agreeing, that the hostile media missed out on the true portrait of Reagan 15 years ago, and misrepresented who he was and what was happening. It was a condemnation of the media.

This is what the media is doing today to President Bush. They are more partisan now than they were then. It's terrible to watch during this war, too. Shame on them.

Kind of like the way BJ "concentrated" on fighting terror during his own presidential term..

ROFL. If he had "concentrated" any more, he might have sold Manhattan to Osama for a prescription of Viagra.

He does like to start off by initially trying to describe the scene, who is who etc.

But, eventually he shuts up...

Hey Ms. Woodruff if you had performed something called 'objective journalism' instead of being a megaphone for the Democrat party you might have known this. Instead you were a blind ideologue, and are now that historical fact is presented to you, you're embarrassing yourself.

If you had seen it live, you would have seen that President Ford's finger was on the side of his nose.

Geez, Louise.....

***That was the most beautiful ceremony that I've ever witnessed
I absolutely agree. It was magnificent.***

Yes, it was. Full of God, too, so very comforting.
