I have the next job for the shelter: try to solve the U.S.' stray cat problem. So many needy cats that keep giving birth to tons of more needy cats.
Sorry Quix. Don't think I had enough coffee this morning to understand that post.
jacquej, is there anything that you see that could possibly fit into another period of mourning/loss for our nation from now until the November election? Of course, I am thinking terrorism...do you see anything?

Iran admits to high levels of contamination of bomb-grade uranium [mullahs want The Bomb]

Yahoo News (via The Iranian) ^ | Thu Jun 10, 3:55 PM ET | AFP
VIENNA (AFP) - Iran admitted to higher levels of contamination by bomb-grade uranium than previously thought but still insisted this came from imported equipment rather than from Iranian enrichment activities, diplomats said. The Iranians were speaking at a technical briefing of the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency, where IAEA officials said the Iranians had indicated to international black marketeers that they would be interested in buying tens of thousands of magnets for sophisticated P-2 centrifuges that can enrich uranium to bomb-grade levels, the diplomats said. Washington charges that Iran is secretly trying to develop atomic weapons and should be taken...
And my 3 hrs sleep and no coffee are insufficient for me to make it better. Sorry.
Best to drop the subject anyway, probably.
This guy is a real piece of work. . .curious though, why didn't this Major kick ass?
That's him.
AKA Testicular fortitude...
I understand the anger, but anarchy will not help. Now if I had usama and all the verified terrorists and soldier killers in my sight, I would destroy them all without question.
Looks like I only have to get up a bit earlier next time...
Ahhhhh, The FReeper Diet Plan...
I don't know, bored at work. I wonder if he was blindsided. We know how "brave" the fanatic jihadis are. < /sarcasm > Actually, I am not even certain the perp is a fanatic; just guessing. I hope we will find out more.
He looks like a real brute, Cal. I can see how the woman was knocked unconscious.
Thanks JP for starting the new thread.
Was on my way to work this morning and past a HAZMAT Emergency Response Vehicle and a Firetruck w/ light's and sirens on. Don't know what's up, but it didn't make me feel good knowing that today is 6/11.
They were headed NW on Rt621 about 5 miles from Leesburg. Anyone know of anything on this? Just wondering....
LOL! The Freeper diet plan...!
However, I have also seen the roots of Jihad quietly take hold in many ways among the minorities that are not strong Christians in the first place. There is so much anger and hatred that is sown through the parents that I fear a new generation of suicide bombers may be born in these schools. Many feel they have nothing to live for and they do not fear death, at all. It's a real shame that the apologists for the Jihadists are found among the teachers. Many of these have read that English version of the Koran and embrace the disinformation there. But they also embrace the inherent and intrinsic disinformation of liberalism and the democratic party. So? They are what they are.
But my very existence as a teacher and the existence of others like me serves as a warning to them that they don't have a "lock" on the hearts and minds of the kids the seek to indoctrinate. That really infuriates them. They hate it even more when some of their carefully molded "charges" experience a class discussion with me and then go to the teachers and hold up a set of values presented in deceptive "liberal-ese" in contrast to their own and find it "wanting" in so many ways. I hope that makes sense. But I make them make up their OWN minds and force them to go elsewhere and look for all the viewpoints. Then come back and challenge my assertions and we'll hash it all out. Liberals cannot do that, because they lose the "moral high ground" every time. Yet they win far too many times when they play to the emotionalism of a sensitive topic.
One thing I have seen far too often at my school is the care that is taken with the gifted students in the gifted program that no conservative teacher shall ever be allowed near these future leaders. The dogmatic brainwashing is spectacular especially in so far as to promote world government blatantly. The United Nations is revered.
Well, I have to go sign out of school and meet my beloved wife for a well deserved start to the summer. My wife is a conservative Christian English teacher in the trenches of the public schools. Her school is more "mainstream" than mine and so she has just been drained by the onslaught of liberalism at her worksite this year. I'll check back into this thread tonight. Thanks again, Calpernia.
Blood Sausage and a side of Coco webbing.
mmmmm
OMG! I remember the webbing posts! Gross. WestCoastGal: did you get a free years' worth of cereal yet? Or other compensation?
Well, I saw this. I have it downloaded. I really don't feel like watching it again to see if the screams match the sawing threw of the neck. I will just sit back and let everyone argue over it.

The Making of A Mid-East Conspiracy: Nicholas Berg Was Not Beheaded
Jewish World Review ^ | June 11, 2004 | Steven Stalinsky
Posted on 06/11/2004 11:07:26 AM EDT by quidnunc
Following the beheading of Nicholas Berg in May by terrorist Abu Mus'ab al-Zarqawi, the killing became the latest in a long line of conspiracy theories which have emerged from the Arab and Iranian media.
Ibrahim Al-Fayoumi, a member of Egypt's Al-Azhar Islamic university, stated on May 12th that the beheading of any person, dead or alive, is forbidden by Islamic law, but that he thought that the Berg case was "American propaganda to divert from the [Abu Ghureib] scandal."
An article titled "The Unexamined Life of Nicholas Berg," which appeared in the Saudi daily Arab News on May 21, questioned Nick Berg's presence in Iraq, alluding to his alleged connections to the Mossad as a "communication spy." The article also placed doubt on Al-Zarqawi's involvement in Berg's murder.
The Iranian daily Tehran Times of May 18th included an article which called the Berg beheading a fraud: "Not only were the purported screams of Nick Berg not in synchrony with the decapitation, but there was also a total lack of blood ... We forwarded the video to
a forensic expert
He wrote back
that in his opinion the video is a fraud
" The paper cited 'La Voz de Aztlan' as its source. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the L.A.-based paper is "the racist and antisemitic Web magazine of a tiny group of extremist Chicanos."
I honestly don't think I will be able to eat anything until at least tomorrow now. (!) I'll survive on liquids, thank goodness.
Today is Friday, so please don't anybody say anything that would put beer on the Freeper diet plan. :)
