Alot of dignataries are now showing up to pay respects. McCain, Guiliani, Gorby, Karzai, etc.
Cspan has live coverage. Bush expected at 7 but could be earlier? He is then going to visit with Mrs. Reagan.
Guard changes about every half hour at .28 and .58 of the hour. One is going on right now.
Do we have a thread where the original pics are posted? Not to disrespect the people putting pictures up.
At first the sounds of children were a little off-setting. Unexpected in the adult world of reverence. But I have to say, after I've gotten used to it, they DO indeed bring innocence and life into such sadness and grief. Another part that makes the circle complete.
HOLY COW!
Actually, it's designed to show that Reagan could get along with everybody .. Bush can't .. Bush can't succeed, and has to go.
Maybe instead of soldiers there would be the original Democrat interns standing guard over Clinton.
They would also be a living proof of his bad taste.
Hillary will get Mrs. Arafat.
Yes!!! That's a good idea. We need to go to the Breyer web site.
I have to work at the college library tomorrow. I could have requested off, but decided just to suck it up I guess.
I will be streaming the funeral and taping it at home.
Go to Yahoo Slide Shows -- should be on the News Page. Here's the URL, just copy and paste and go to "Former President Reagan, etc."

If you don't have time for anything else today, scan this thread just for the pictures. Absolutely amazing.
Thanks for posting this wonderful photo. Seeing it made me realize why the states that voted for President Bush are called red states.
That is an Air Force officer next to him. Maybe he is an aide to deputy Secretary Wolfowitz, who preceeded Cpl Wright.
I am giving a pretty good fig. (should be in prime season for figs at that time in august)
I am also super grateful George W. Bush is president of the USA at this time. The USA has given significant help.
I am also very aware that Nato is helping and the French have not given troops to Nato for YEARS. I am VERY grateful for that.
I guarantee when I am there I am sufficiently experinced with street debates or dealing with cafe smart *sses to offer no quarter.
Hopefully I will be able to post when I am there.
They said he would not be able to be there tomorrow at the state funeral, which is why he was in California viewing Reagan there.
I think the pic is from then.
Sorry, I didn't mean to demote Corporal Wright.
ugh. I am watching O'Reilly and they keep showing the creep (Chirac). Him, as well as Japanese Prime MInister, Prez Fox, Vlad Putin, and the Canadian guy are not going to the funeral. What a bunch of punks.
You know, we laugh at clinton's funeral. But he's GOT to be feeling the heat. He knows what he is. And he knows there are LOTS of people who weren't fooled. He cannot escape that. He just CANNOT. He's living a hell on earth, I truly believe. No matter what kind of spin he tries to put on the truth, he knows, we know, and neither are going to forget.
Smile...I'm temorarily cried out. But am staying home to watch the national services live tomorrow. I know the tears will flow again, especially when he returns home tomorrow evening. I live in the L.A. area. My two front tires are really suspect, but I may try to get up to Point Mugu anyway to stand along the route back to the library. I wish he were coming in to LAX, because I live within a few miles of it and can get there through the streets. Sigh.
