RUSH: Someone who saw Bush's eulogy said make sure to have a box of Kleenex handy.
Rush Limbaugh show: 2:11 est

Rush just said that someone who saw Bush's eulogy said it's a real tear jerker, a command performance.

The networks are going to hate this.

An behalf of me Sara and my husband who is in Iraq in psf -Grom, I would like to send my sincere condolences to all American people of a great lost. Especially to Nancy Reagan for her tears and broken heart. My husband told me this is a marriage that is what marriage should be and I believe him on that and we can learn from it.

In news from front line I would like to tell you about rescue that happened to hostages. Information link came from local Iraq people who tolled American Marines where hostages where hold. Call went to America special forces and other coalition forces in area. Polish Grom played some role helping however my husband didn't elaborated. Americans when fast and in stealth style and caught terrorist of guard. I think there will be a minute of silence in American camp and 21 salute.

I would like to send condolences to Nancy Reagan and her family and Ronald Wilson Regan to thank him for us in Eastern Europe to be free.

I've been searching for a transcript of Ted Stevens' speech yesterday.

Somone posted a link of Stenven's speech earlier in this thread.

I'm with you, except the tears really started rolling at the first words of the song (which is my favorite). The choir (Air Force Singing Sergeants) and the sololist were awesome. I didn't stop crying until 10 minutes after it was over and I'm proud of it.

I love America the Beautiful, but that stanza is the most majestic. And to hear it sung as a solo....damn, I'm getting choked up again. Tomorrow...I'm stocking up on kleenex, paper towels, you name it.

I thought the National Cathedral service tomorrow was fairly early in the morning, 8:30 am or so east coast time. Anybody can confirm time?

My bet is Peggy's handiwork will be all over this speech. If so, it will be obvious and very possibly one of the most moving speeches we may ever hear.

Yep, one for the history/video "books".

I was watching C-span today and doing pretty well until the young Marine came in with two arms amputated, one above the elbow and the other just above the wrist. He stood and saluted with the amputated arm and I just lost it. He was all of 20 years old. Anyone else see that?

I missed it, but heard about it here. That was enough....had I seen it, I'd be in bed in a fetal position for the rest of the day.

I don't know who the young Marine was, but he embodies our servicemen and women.

I didn't see it coming - but bawled like a baby, in front of my wife, right after Nancy caressed the casket and walked away with Cheney. I said how great it was that Reagan was getting his due, and how when you thought of Reagan, you thought "AMERICA", more so than any other president.

41 was telling Larry King that he was very worried about choking up not being able to deliver the speech. I can imagine if that happens 43 is going to have a tough time too.

Both will do the occasion in fine and strong fashion. The emotions they feel are genuine, and (for me at least) tend to cause crying. But the occasion is "not theirs alone," and they will obtain strength.

I totally agree with you about Cheney last night, what he said and how he said it were just over the top. I once heard someone use the term "high oratory" - I think it fits here.

We're not supposed to watch streaming video at work (bandwith use and all that), but what the hell, we're getting outsourced in a few months. I'll be watching.

My thoughts exactly! I have cried more in the last three days than I have in a long time. I have to take some time away from the TV. It is just getting too heavy on me.
