Wasn't it earlier than that? I'm in Boston, and as I recall I was just getting in from work and the phone rang. It was my sister, and I told her I was just going to turn on the TV for coverage; she said, "Reagan won!" I couldn't believe it!

Yes, I remember that day very well. I was attending a very liberal univerisity, and there was a very small group of us who decided it would be best to leave the campus and celebrate that victory amoung the more joyous in the Chicago bars.
