has to be killing the Dems inside to see this. So much for their "party of the rich" crap.

Don't forget all those Reagan Democrats

Once upon a time I was a registered Dem - I was young and didn't know better

When I voted for the first time .. I had no idea who to pick

My mother (a Dem) told me to vote for Reagan

I did and changed parties when I saw what a Great man he was ...

Try to find a play of Michael's interview on FoxNews. He and Ronald Reagan hugged, alot. It started in Michael's adulthood, and extended well into President Reagan's Altzheimer's. The two of them were connected, as humans.

CSPAN had a couple of shots from the top (or near it) of the Capitol down the Mall toward the Washington Monument - beautiful.

I'll switch over to CNN for 41. I sometimes wish Barbaza Bush could have been elected...she could form a fist far better than her husband.

Hello, after all these years, these dopes just don't get it or do not want to get it.

I suspect it is more of the do not want, then just don't. To acknowledge that anything about conservatism is right, is an anathema to them

My nine-year old has been asking me questions about Reagan all week...

You bring up a good point. Clearly, today's young people have not heard much good about President Reagan from their "teachers". It will surprise them to know more about this great man that they have been lied to about.

I can't believe it, but Chris Matthews described Margaret Thatcher's appearance to "a Winston Churchill moment".

I got way behind on the thread, but have to note that Peggy Noonan live on MSNBC said she watched from a window at the Capitol building and they could tell where the caisson was on the route from the sound of applause.

It gave them (she and other old Reagan hands) CHILLS and they loved it.

(I had to note for those who had noted disapproval, that the applause was a very very good thing indeed)

I sincerely doubt there are people standing in that line, in the heat, drinking water with no potty privledges just for historical reasons!

I drove up to Simi Valley on Monday night with two friends. We left San Diego at 8:30, and didn't get back home until almost noon the next day. My roommate, a complete fool and a democrat to boot, asked me why I did it: "Why bother? Did you go just to say you did it?"

My response (delivered as I'm standing in front of the refrigerator plastered with Reagan magnets, holding a Reagan book in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other): "What are you, stupid?"

Come to think of it, I really didn't need to ask the question.

I wonder how many face lifts she has had?

She has to use a ladder to put on her makeup.

Matthews holds Churchill in highest esteem, so it was truly a great compliment for Thatcher.

Earlier Matthews was shocked, shocked that this memorial service was so reverential, so much unlike the Wellstone debacle. He had been predicting Cheney would be very partisan.

Chris has been around long enough to know better
