I've had the opportunity to hear Hastert at a fund-raiser breakfast, and I can tell you that the room came alive with his powerful yet simple way with words. He has a tremendously sweet-natured humor that is absolutely charming. He IS very underrated.

You know, I've been thinking about all the horrible things the Democrats have been saying about Reagan and how low class that is. But honestly, when Clinton kicks the bucket, I don't think I'll be spouting too many niceties.
Also, I heard today that the only living President who hasn't made there funeral plans yet is Clinton. He probably believes he is immortal.

I was doing good until Vice President Cheney started talking, now the tears are falling. This speech is beautiful.
To: Endeavor
Cheney is just the best. I'll second that.

watch the replay later. Listen to Cheney and Hastert - then listen to Stevens, you will see the difference right away.
To: maryz
Cheney is making up for the prayer earlier in this speech.
To: Cboldt
Cheney is doing a wonderful job of honoring President Reagan.

Cheney is so comforting-like you could put your head on his shoulder and cry.

Kerry's getting a last minute botox touch up in case of possible face time. He'll be there once the camera isn't focusing on "the other people."

I don't know, arasina. I thought the listing of his accomplishments was entirely appropriate and would have been DEVASTATED if they had not listed his accomplishments.
