After blowing it up, as the plane starts it's left bank, you can see the object coming from the left, above the wing tip, the down behind behind the engine. Does not appear to be from the ac.

A Google shows that movie didn't come out until 1979.
I'm sticking with my theory that Rod Stewart's cover from '71 was the starting point for revival.

If you, cgk, me, and others saw this, certainly word would have gotten to the Air Force and some jets would have been sent up to take a look. Come up from below and behind as not to alarm the Reagan traveling party. It'll be something to look for when SAM 27000 lands at Andrews in a few hours. I'm looking for some threads about this sighting.

"The Clinton service is remarkable not only for its revolutionary design "Revolutionary design" -- for china??? Anyone know what it looks like?"The bowls and plates had pictures of women in them, and when they got wet, the women became nekkid.
If Bill had a hand in ordering it, I bet it was bone china.

Yes! I had to get my car inspected before I was arrested
LOL, I read that wrong. I thought you were saying, "I'm being arrested today and need to get my car inspected first."
Forgive me, I'm slow. Need the pre-election meds we talked about yesterday.

Go with God, Ronaldus Maximus. May the wind be at your back, and heavenly angels open God's gate as you gallup to the stars. We are SO blessed that you were born and became our leader .. decent, strong and true.. and right.
Dear Lord, bless George W. Bush, the political heir of Reagan .. blessed with righteous goodness and courage. Protect him and guide him through these troubled waters. Amen.

For flags that can't be lowered, such as those on many homes, the American Legion says attaching a black ribbon or streamer to the top of the flag is an acceptable alternative. The ribbon should be the same width as a stripe on the flag and the same length as the flagThat does indeed help. Thanks.

Thanks for all the help with the black bow pictures. I purchased the ribbon at lunch and my assistant helped me make one for my home and office.
Also, would like to let all Freepers know that Ronald Reagan lives on in my own family today. While out shopping for ribbon, I called my 18 year old to remind him to watch the funeral proceedings and make sure he registers to vote in the upcoming election. His reply, "Mom, I did it yesterday." Of course, my next question, "And you registered as what?" His reply, "Don't worry Mom; I registered Republican." I am proud that in a very real way, President Reagan's ideas live on in the next generation. Reagan inspired me to register Republican as a young 18 year old, and my son has followed my lead. The People's Republic of Maryland gained one more Pubby today-One at a time!

For as far out as the AC was, for something to be seen falling off, it would have had to have been a rather large piece. A piece of that size would have alerted the crew, of affected flight control, especially during takeoff.

I don't know if I can find an excerpt to share online, but Peggy Noonan's description of what the funeral procession will be like and what her thoughts will be at that time (as she writes in "What I Saw at the Revolution") is quite nice.
Recommended reading if you haven't already.

In the traditional sense you would be right. But just think of all Americans wearing
Nancy or
Reagan red on the parade route for Mrs. Reagan to see on Friday. Just think. What a loving tribute to not only President Reagan but Nancy Reagan. Note: President Reagan loved for his dear wife to wear red. It was his favorite color for her.

Seagull. At about 12 seconds into the video, it comes in high left, then down quickly. Maybe he got caught up in the wake.

Agreed. After watching cgk's video submission, the object in question does indeed come from above the wing and tracks downward below the left inboard engine. My guess is a big large bird that presented a nearly nonexistent head-on appearance and then dove, presenting a larger area. This has become a non-issue. RIP RWR.
