I presume others are watching.
SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - A black Cadillac hearse arrived at the hilltop library that bears the name of former President Ronald Reagan (news - web sites) on Wednesday morning for the first leg of his journey to Washington for state funeral ceremonies.
Fox News says coverage is to begin at 5 p.m. eastern. Local Los Angeles television shows Air Force One poised and ready at Pt. Mugu.
Im watching and have been waiting for this thread...LOL.......
They are arriving now.
I'm watching as well. I expect this evening to be heartwrenching.
Mrs. Reagan arriving now
I am watching and will until later this afternoon when I have to leave.
Anyone know who will be speaking tonight in the Rotunda? Can't find article/source anyplace. Thanks
LIVE THREAD???? in title please
I was too and when I didn't see it, started one :)
I am watching -- broke my self-imposed boycott of cable news to watch this historic event.
I just put the black ribbons on my flag as per this instruction:
.....attaching a single black ribbon, the width of one flag stripe and with a length twice that of the flag. The center of the ribbon should be tied or otherwise affixed to the staff such that its two ends (each as long as the flag) fly freely.
I feel better knowing I have done that to honor Our Beloved President.
Yes, watching cars arriving. Thanks for setting up the thread.
I think it is Dennis Hastert for the House, Ted Stevens for the Senate, and V.P. Dick Cheney.
Speaker of the House Hastert and Major Leader Frist for two that have been announced. I expect VP Cheney who is representing the President to also speak.
Watching now...
Jackie Kennedy's press secretary is on FNC now defending Nancy Reagan's love of clothing and buying china for the White House which actually matches.
I don't know for sure. I'll look around.
Is it Stevens? Our local news was wrong then because they said Majority Leader Frist. Frist would be better IMHO!
FNC: We're not going to talk a lot during the ceremony.
I'm watching local Los Angeles coverage on KTTV Channel 11
