Senator McCain said this on Hannity and Colmes:
Hannity: "Senator McCain, do you believe that you are a Reagan Conservative?"
McCain: Absolutely. I mean I think we can talk about policy, but I think I share his vision for a great America.
Hannity: Could you explain that a little more?
McCain: Sure. American's haven't sacraficed anything in this war. I think its time that they do some sacraficing. Roll back the tax cuts to the rich, cut defense spending..and.....increase..
Hannity: Senator I have to cut you off because we have to go.
McCain wouldn't know a Reagan Conservative if it bit him in the butt.
Hanity did cut him off.
The senator is most certainly a turncoat to conservatives, a la Arlen Specter, but I try to remember he lost six years of his life in a horrible place. I kind of give him a pass. He cannot hurt us. He is like a gnat buzzing around the head.
BTW, he is much like John Kerry in marrying money too.
Why that MFCSCLFSOB.
Yeah. I wouldn't want to stand between McCain and a camera. The love of his life.
A vision of what?
Bump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You speak my acronyms.
Don't tempt me.
Knowing the way McCain thinks...he probably thinks its a vision of him. In front of a camera.
Lando
What a fricken idiot! How about over 800 dead? Is that not a sacrifice?
Well, when McCain started in on this matter - I switched over to Animal Planet channel.
Very annoying.
LOL!!!
Then he should go home and be with his family and not trying to tell us that we have not sacrificed enough for the country. He should tell that to the families of the HEROS that won't be coming home EVER.
He says this to people who have the ability to vote him out of office?
Me thinks that maybe McCain is a little too comfortable with his job security.
"Tax cuts for the rich"
Who does McCain consider rich?
Anyone making over 20 thousand a year?
bttt
McCain is echoing what Bob Dole said about Americans sacrificing, but Dole said he wasn't referring to paying higher taxes. Paying higher taxes isn't a personal sacrifice because it's a passive action, people don't have to consciously think about the money that is withheld from their paychecks. Dole suggested something along the lines of victory gardens. I suggested that we all pledge to conserve gasoline, park one car, ride a bike or a bus, car pool - and do it for the war effort, to take pressure off of the Middle East oil dependence.
Then just watch the lefties howl.
