Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry spent the past week hawking a tough national-security image to convince voters that he can be trusted to aggressively fight the war on terrorism, calling it the "greatest threat" facing America today.
But less than six months ago, the Massachusetts senator said in a televised debate that the Bush administration had exaggerated the threat posed by terrorism.

Kerry flip-flops? I don't understand. Did you know he was in Viet Nam?
Kerry was in Vietnam? I didn't know that. I wonder why he never mentions it in his campaign?
Another flip - flop, which, if the Bush administration would use , Kerry will be finished forever.
After Clinton signed the Iraqi Liberation Act which called for regime change, Kerry went on television and said that it didn't matter if the UN or our European allies weren't with us, specifically France!!!

I've come to the conclusion that Mr. Kerry is actually hedging his bets. After he loses in November and Teresa kicks him out of the house, he's gonna need a new way to make money. With the way he flips on issues, I imagine every IHOP in America will want to hire him to see if he can do the same thing with pancakes...
Do they think no one is paying attention?
They are hoping so. It's his only hope!
Wow! That kind of terse, unnuanced reply can only indicate that the new policy is good for at least 4 to 6 weeks (instead of the usual 2).
..... for now.
Still flip, floppin and bird flipping along!

Monday, May 31, 2004 10:53 p.m. EDT Former Congressman John Leboutillier reports on a Memorial Day confrontation between Sen. John Kerry and a fellow Vietnam veteran: Democratic senator - and certain presidential nominee - John F. Kerry gave the middle finger to a Vietnam veteran at the Vietnam Memorial Wall on Memorial Day morning, NewsMax.com has learned. Ted Sampley, a former Green Beret who served two full tours in Vietnam, spotted Kerry and his Secret Service detail at about 9:00 a.m. Monday morning at the Wall. Sampley walked up to Kerry, extended his hand and said, "Senator, I am Ted Sampley, the head of Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, and I am here to escort you away from the Wall because you do not belong here." At that point a Secret Service officer told Sampley to back away from Kerry. Sampley moved about 6 feet away and opened his jacket to reveal a HANOI JOHN T-shirt. Kerry then began talking to a group of schoolchildren. Sampley then showed the T-shirt to the children and said, "Kerry does not belong at the Wall because he betrayed the brave soldiers who fought in Vietnam." Just then Kerry - in front of the school children, other visitors and Secret Service agents - brazenly 'flashed the bird' at Sampley and then yelled out to everyone, "Sampley is a felon!" Kerry was referring to an incident 12 years ago when Sampley confronted Sen. John McCain's chief aide, Mark Salter, in a Senate stairwell after McCain repeatedly offended POW families at a Senate POW hearing. Sampley, whose father-in-law at that time was MIA in Laos, followed Salter into the stairwell and, when they emerged, Salter had a bloody lip and a broken nose. Sampley's group, Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, has garnered huge national attention and has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post and on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country." Tens of thousands of Vietnam vets have registered their opposition to Kerry through Sampley's group. Clearly Sampley has gotten under Kerry's skin once again.

SUNUNU: Senator Kerry, I think the issue that concerns a lot of us who have seen the process in the past and have been watching what has been going on now is that the previous administration, President Bush, Jim Baker worked to weave the fabric before rolling out the goods and the tough talk. This administration's got the tough talk now, but it let the fabric get unraveled and that is the problem. We have to at least understand that failure if we want to move forward correctly.
KERRY: John, again, I think you're prejudging this. I mean, the fact is that over a period of time France and Russia have indicated a monetary interest. They on their own have indicated the desire to do business. That's what's driving this. I mean, as Tom Freedman (ph) said in a great article the other day, France, Inc. wants to do business with oil and they are moving in the exact sort of opposite direction on their own from the very cause of the initial conflict, which was oil.
And here I thought the US was INVADING Iraq for Oil...and that GWB was exaggerating the threat...
This was from 1997!!!! The friggin' waffle-BA$TARD knew then, and knows NOW...but I guess doing what is right depends whether there is a (D) or an (R) after the idea!
So now King Waffle-Rat thinks we NEED the F'n frogs and Russian back-stabbers...but not when IMPOTUS X-42 was running the show?!?!
Hang him out to dry with this...get this out to ALL the "right" ears and voices in the media!
If F'n Kerry wants to take the week off, we should take advantage of that time to BOX him in!!!
I would recommend to you and all freepers to send this link to your town or state RNC Committee Chair and the radio and television talk show hosts (Rush, Hannity, etc.)
If they all get inundated with the info, they will find an ear that can use it and will air it.
