Kirby Wilbur just announced on KVI that there would be a memorial for President Reagan this Friday, June 11, 3:00 PM at Cedar Park Church in Bothell. Let's go FReepers!
I have 2 outfits..... One casual and one semi formal...... what to wear, what to wear!
Salute the Gipper for me, wouldja?
Will do, Badray! :)
Too late.
Nite everyone! Post whatever vigil info you find so everyone can meet up. I will leave it to you all to arrnage your times & meetings places for whatever vigil or memorial you attend. Sweet dreams now :)
Hey GREAT Whereas! Was just watching a compilation of Charlie Rose interviews with Reagan staffers, and I got choked up all over again over what a great man he was...and so HUMBLE...No higher compliment than that he was the opposite of Martin Sheen's character on West Wing!!!;-D
The church probably isn't beer-friendly either, whaddyawannabet? I blame my stingy Protestant forbears for that. I mean, two hours of fire and brimstone and all you get is this itty bitty sip of wine? When I design my denomination the congregation's gonna rise, yell "Yo, Jesus!" and chug a tankard of ale apiece. Gimme that old time religion...
In My Ever So Humble Opinion, that resolution is worthy of a thread all by itself, posted to Activism so others can ask their various councils to do the same. Just posted here, few will see it. Great work!!
Libertina,
YOU are also a great American! Just like ASD! =)
Memorial and Remembrance Service for President Ronald
Reagan, the 40th President of the United States, will
be held on Friday, June 11th at 12 o'clock noon at the
First United Methodist Church,
1224 Legion Way SE in Olympia.
The public is warmly invited.
I got a baby sitter, I have permision from the boss to leave early. All is A GO. I only wish I could get some of my conservative friends at Boeing to go with me. They are all wimping out, go a meeting, got a wedding to go to, etc.
I will see the rest of you there. Kirby Wilber said on the radio last night, he has seen the sevice schedule and calls it spectacular!
We will need to choose a meet-up area. Any ideas? I will be coming early. SpanawayLori, do you want to ride together?
I'll probably be making an appearance as close to the last minute as I possibly can due to scheduling issues...
Sure!
Well, except to north Seattle and the entire north side suburbs...
I may be in attendence.
Libertina, I have room for 2 in my car. I live in the Renton area and I'm willing to share the ride. Can pick up maybe in the Boeing park & Ride.

PS from home I'm NavyCanDo and from work I'm USNFighting31st. Can you see the Navy theme in my freeper name? :-)
The Navy looked great in today's memorial in WA DC! I will talk with Spanaway Lori and then get in touch with you. :) Thanks!
Yes the Navy looked sharp as did the rest of the services.
I was in the Navy during Carter and Reagan. That was the turning point of my political Life. I voted for Carter, believe it or not. (I was a conservative democrat)
The lack of repect Carter showed the military, the terible economy, gas lines, energy crises, high interest rates etc, enspired me to vote for the Republican Ronald Reagan. I have been a republican ever since.
