From www.dennisprager.com:

The Latest:

March with Dennis! Tomorrow morning, Tuesday, June 8, starting at 8:30am in front of the Hall of Administration at Temple and Grand.

Dennis will be there,
leading the way to save the Cross on the County seal.

Bring signs! Bring your passion!
Let's not let the ACLU Taliban and their collaborators change Los Angeles history.

There is good parking in city lots nearby.

Don't Let Them Change the LA County Seal!

Stop the ACLU!

Call, fax, email or write to the Supervisors Molina, Burke and Yaroslavsky and tell them you want to keep the seal just as it is.

Here's a list of numbers and addresses. http://lacounty.info/Contact%20Information%20-%20English.pdf or http://bos.co.la.ca.us

Here's a picture of the Los Angeles County Seal that the ACLU wants to change. They want the county to remove the Cross because they think it makes people who are not Christian uncomfortable.

Click here to see the seal.

the Council will also be voting to change the name of the San Andreas Fault to George Bush's Fault.

That's great.

Well, if the ACLU is planning an L.A seal cross burning they won't be able to stop there. Yet another Governmental entity in L.A. on whose official seal Christianity needlessly rears its sacred head is that of (the ACLU anagram) UCLA. The University of California seal features (shudder) a bible!!!

Featured proudly here by none other than the UCLA Democrats, who, I am sure, are oblivious to the virtual mockery that their use of of the UC seal makes of of that bulwark of our liberties, the Separation of Church and State.

The Bible on the seal is actually opened up to Genesis, from which originates the U.C. motto "Let There Be Light." Thus, the motto is Judeo-Christian, and of no possible affront to UC's Jewish constistuency.

But the UCLA Bible/Torah depiction still puts Muslims, Bhuddists and Animalists on the outs. So go ahead ACLU, and take on not just Christians, but the vast majority of the University of California community. Sue to get UC to change their motto and seal. Picking on a few evangelical Christians is fun and easy. Taking on UC? You don't have the guts.

Because of the religious implication of sainthood, the Council will also be voting to change the name of the San Andreas Fault to George Bush's Fault.

That's hillarious! Thanks for the laugh.

You're not correct on this one. Here's a link where the supreme court ruled on a suburb of Oklahoma City. Edmond.

http://www.cwnews.com/news/viewstory.cfm?recnum=498

After this the ACLU went after another suburb called "Bethany". Bethany is a little town within Oklahoma City that was founded by the Nazarene church. Built around a Nazarene college. The symbol of the college, among other things was on the city seal. This had to be removed. The city lost in fed court but decided not to appeal to the Supreme Court because of the cost, and because of Edmond having just gotten kicked.

LA county will not win this in court. Until we take back our courts, we cannot live in freedom.

The SCOTUS did not rule on that kjam. If the SCOTUS had heard it I am confident that the SCOTUS would have ruled that because it reflects the history of the community, that it would be constitutionally permissible to recognize that history in the seal.

You may be correct that the LA county may not win this at the 9th circuit since the 9th Circuit worships at the altar of Satan himself. But the SCOTUS has overruled the 9th on almost every major constitutional question that has been brought before them in the last 20 years.

LA county does not want to spend the resources to take this to the Supreme Court. In essence they are cowards.

Well.. your'e right the SC didn't "rule". It was worse than that... they didn't even listen. It wasn't even close enough in thier minds to get a hearing in the court. They rejected the cities claim without even listening. That's worse than losing in court.

They rejected the cities claim without even listening.

The case was never presented to the SCOTUS. Don't blame the SCOTUS, you have to blame the city. Unless the case was presented to them, the SCOTUS will not hear it. They accept cases on writ of certiorai and if no one files a writ, then the SCOTUS doesn't hear the case.

A stop has to be put on ACLU and judges deciding what is and is not permitted in this country. They are on the way of making this country into a dictatorship of the ACLU/judges wanting to destroy the Constitution.

Let's not forget that ACLU also supports pedophelia. Bill O'Reilly had on his show a while back the outrageous fight the ACLU was waging in support of pedophiles.

I think the court voted 6 to 1 not to even hear the Edmond case. That's a slam dunk to most lawywers. When the court won't even hear your case.

I'm sorry, I didn't read your link. You are right. The SCOTUS did refuse to hear it. In your original post you indicated that the City did not wish to spend the money to appeal. Apparently someone filed the writ.

Never mind. :-)

No problem. The second OKC suburb didn't want to spend the money... after seeing the first one get kicked.
