I was 5 years old...and my mother had me watch the funeral and to this day I actually remember my mother crying when John John saluted the coffin...I remember it as clear as it happened yesterday...I wasn't too sure about the actual event I was watching...just remembered that little boy triggered my mother's crying...

Tell you what...next time you are out at an event (funeral, church, wedding)...why don't a whole bunch of us come over and critique your outfit... Won't that be fun...
Then we can come to the internet and snipe about you like high-school girls to our hearts content.

ON LOVE
~ By Thomas Kempis ~
Love is a mighty power,
a great and complete good.
Love alone lightens every burden, and makes rough places smooth.
It bears every hardship as though it were nothing, and renders
all bitterness sweet and acceptable.
Nothing is sweeter than love,
Nothing stronger,
Nothing higher,
Nothing wider,
Nothing more pleasant,
Nothing fuller or better in heaven or earth; for love is born of God.
Love flies, runs and leaps for joy.
It is free and unrestrained.
Love knows no limits, but ardently transcends all bounds.
Love feels no burden, takes no account of toil,
attempts things beyond its strength.
Love sees nothing as impossible,
for it feels able to achieve all things.
It is strange and effective,
while those who lack love faint and fail.
Love is not fickle and sentimental,
nor is it intent on vanities.
Like a living flame and a burning torch,
it surges upward and surely surmounts every obstacle.

Yes, he did say that. PJ is just a sick person.

waiting along the processional road is one, but perhaps not the viewing. That was our thought as well. Even the 3-yr-old can wave the flag -- our local Mem Day parade showed that!

I depend on Free Republic so much. Even though the stock exchange is closed on Friday I doubt I will be able to stay home from work so all this week I will be depending on Free Republic live threads.

Rush: DNC refused to have headquarters flag flown at half staffThese people are really sick and twisted. The ultimate in disrespect for a fallen President and America. What am I saying...this is their usual SOP.

Well, we don't have to worry about Amy, but I don't know about Chelsea. THere have been murmurings that she is interested in a political career :-(
