The Nixon family decided to keep out of Washington, partly because of Quaker simplicity and partly to avoid controversy.

Thanks, Joe. There's no way I can possibly find the words to explain how much it means to me to know the crowds are huge. Since 9/11, I have been so frightened for this country that we're going to slip back to where the Left wants us to be. Weak, uncertain, willing to give in to the Left's agenda. I've been searching for signs that my fears are unwarranted.

Nancy has that hollowed out look that just breaks my heart.
Going back to the couch to watch; I have a cold or flu. Absolutely cannot cry or I won't be able to breath.

Nixon could have had it too, but he rejected the DC part of the funeral - he just had the California part at his library.

I just cried when I read that...it is so sad to watch someone lose their mind...so very sad...and I loved President Reagan..it was so sad it had to happen to him...as it did to my grandfather...it is a devestating disease...
