Yes. With all that "dashing" around, I can see how it would be hard to be aware of what was actually going on.
Yes. I still have my "Bush/Cheney" t-shirt, which I will wear. Hopefully I won't have to have my children drive me to the cortege route. I will be respectful, but well-satisfied.
He's not a jr. It makes me mad when they do it to Bush, so I try not to do it to them.
You know what my attitude about that is now? Who cares? He was a friend to President Reagan and Nancy. All I need to know!

I've heard Shep too in the last few days sounding, well, lets just say more like Colmes than Hannity, on the subject of Reagan's presidency.

Yep, anybody with ears did as well. There is a curious platoon of Shep defenders on this thing--I find it mind boggling.
Ron isn't a "Jr"? - didn'know that. Definitely know that President Bush is not, and it drives me nuts when they call him Jr.
I've seen him say things more recently than that, too. I was just really surprised.

I should add I'm not sure that President Reagan continued these traditions, he may have started them. Remember that the Oval Office isn't just a place. The point is that both President Bushes learned that lesson from President Reagan.
I heard it over the weekend. They said it makes him furious; they said his middle name, but it's not Wilson.
He was on Chrissy's show not too long ago bad-mouthing Dubya....I switched channels.
As for my in-laws, don't even ask.
As for my parents, I can't even bear to think about it. My dad had a colon cancer scare a few years ago; called me up one day before his surgery and asked if mom could stay with us if "something" happened and I said of course but spent the rest of the day really, really upset.
I think it's trying.
