I should add I'm not sure that President Reagan continued these traditions, he may have started them. Remember that the Oval Office isn't just a place. The point is that both President Bushes learned that lesson from President Reagan.
Reagan was a class guy. I think we had other class guys too. I think the Clinton frat party and a Sweater wearing carter hiding under his desk were aberrations.
