Reagan family has arrived in Santa Monica to escort President Reagan's body to his library.
You get on almost every live thread and interject a discordant voice. One would almost think it is a deliberate tactic.
Thank you! You all are so kind.
Try not to involve yourself in things that don't involve you-- it doesn't show you in a good light.
What a picture! Arnold looks truly moved.
I'm WEB TV challenged :~) You want a kick...check out the pics on this recent thread.

Welcome Sea, by now you know this place can be addictive. You have new family now. :)
Welcome Darlin',
This is a fun place full of very smart people.
Do what I've been doing, remind them when a former President dies, its is customary to fly the flag at half staff, and maybe since they were busy, they didn't reaize it wasn't. Be very polite, try not to inject politics. Some people need a gentle hint, or maybe they truly didn't think about it.
I drove my hubby crazy yesterday, calling places who didn't have their flags at half mast, or stopping by and asking them to lower it, for respect to our former President.
Of course, he's a bigger Reagan fan than I am, so I think he was glad. Everyone was nice, and took care of it pronto. Well, there's 2 places I have to check on the way home.
By Friday, all the flags in my immediate 20 miles area WILL have their flags at half mast, or a black ribbon on any flag that cannot be lowered.
My husband got to lower the flag with our 2 oldest sons at the Sheriff's dept here. He said he never felt so honored to do anything before. And to have our 8 and 4 yr old with him, saluting.
I love my hubby.
Oh, and welcome to FR. Sorry for the ramble.
Yes.

You guys over here?
Miss Marple--since you're so resourceful. How about getting this done. Where are the CA Freepers, we need to get a bunch of them to go down there (meet up) and go in together and sing "God Bless America" --that's what Reagan deserves.
LOL......I told somebody the other day -- when they were saying that their family didn't understand about FR -- to just face the fact that we're their family now! :-)
I just read an interview with Merv Griffin recently...he's not married. (And yes, he had a long relationship with a Gabor sister.)
The pretty blonde lady is Dennis Revell's fiancee. Dennis was Maureen's husband...she died in 2001. I believe Dennis and Maureen had an adopted daughter, who was not present today (too young?). I thought it was very nice and classy that Dennis, who was married to Maureen for many years, was included as a member of the immediate family and that his fiancee was made welcome.
Uh-huh. Good to see you!
