When the body of an important person lies in state, it is arranged so that the public can see and honour it before it is buried.
That's quite a poem. sniff
it is a great speech
Like Lenin was lying in state in the Kremlin for like 80 years. They had a special glass casket and they would open it monthly to scrape the mold off the corpse.
Good evening, Hostess! Hello, everyone! Great memorial on Drudge tonight. What an amazing and memorable speaker Reagan was. There is no one like him.
Oh Yuk!
Some loser posted a quote from his "President Gore" earlier today so I asked if his president issued a statement on the death of Ronald Reagan. No replies so far. :)
Sorry guys and gals, but I haven't read through the whole thread yet...and was wondering if anyone has a transcript of the prayer (religious) speech he just gave on Drudge (I only caught the end of it). Thanks.
What Dutch understood was that there is a purpose larger that ourselves.
Freedom is precious in that frame
I hope Thatcher speaks at the funeral.
She's really beautiful.
"Let's win one for the Gipper"!
Word is that she has taped a eulogy, and it will be played at the funeral, which she will attend. (evening Brady!)
Is Stalin also on display?
g
Maggie, placed herself second to Dutch upon the news of his death, but she was everymuch as part of what was achieved, ask any Pole about solidarity
Notice Peggy says Reagan felt he was here for a reason, and born at a certain time for a reason. Not "God sent him here" or any of that overbearing self-important stuff. (The kind of stuff our country was founded to get away from?)
I wish Al would just regrow his beard and be Jonathan Frakes' stand-in at Trek Conventions. Deep down, he wants to be.
Oh man oh man oh man. I just heard the audio Drudge played of that 1984 Prayer Breakfast in Dallas speech from President Reagan. It was simply stunning in its simple purity. It would be awesome to see a complete transcript of that. Wow...tears.
I think the same thing about President Bush. The Creator knew what we were in store for.
Hooah! That's the rally cry!
