I am praying that our Lord take President Reagan home as peacefully as possible, his work on earth is done.
I am very thankful that should this transpire soon, that GWB is president instead of the previous occupant of the office.
Regardless of our efforts to keep politics out of it, such an event will garner a lot of attention and sympathy for our side, and it will play a role in the election. We should not play this for politics, but we should recognize the impact that it will have.
God Bless president Reagan.
"...do not politicize this."
Correct. But as I thank God for Ronald Reagan, I can't help but be thankful that we didn't lose him during the Clinton years. I don't think I could've endured seeing Mr. Smarmy and the wife acting as if they gave a damn.
I disagree. This should be politicized.
Reagan was viciously attacked by the liberal establishment while president, he was attacked afterwards, he is attacked now. The liberal revisionists will be frothing at the mouth in their efforts to discredit him if he dies.
If I can slam that in their faces by rallying the old Reagan coalition, then that'd be a far better legacy for the best President of my lifetime than to pretend that the left isn't going to rip him with dripping fangs in every "retrospective on his life" that gets run should he shortly pass away.
Bush/Cheney 2004: Win One for the Gipper!
Huh? He was the President of the United States. How much more political can you ever be?
