Great picture of two of the Holy Trinity Of Freedom (the third being Thatcher, of course). With Reagan leading the way, Thatcher's iron will and the Pope's Polish connections and support of Solidarity, not to mention the moral leadership of all three, the Trinity brought down the USSR and saved the world.

Hope Thatcher will be invited to give a eulogy. Would only be fitting and appropriate.

Prayers to the Reagans, and a moment of silence for Ronaldus Magnus.

Something from Stars and Stripes, re: the visit to Germany.

link

In an emotional gesture of reconciliation, President Reagan and Chancellor Helmut Kohl recalled the most monstrous acts of World War II Sunday and told citizens of the United States and West German "the horror cannot outlast the hope."

Thanks for the link...another question..in releasing the news of Reagan's declining health, and saying it could be weeks or months, I suspect that it will be much sooner, and the family is trying to prepare the country..Do you think that Ronnie might enjoy a last "joke"..that is, departing this world just as the Democrat convention starts?..

thank you for the information, I will be one of many who will be going to Washington to pay my last respects, perhaps we should have a Free Republic meeting place/vigil for the 72 hours somewhere on the Mall?

Just something to think about, we could have a big picture of Ronnie and a card for people to sign and we could give out a page of his greatest quotes to the other mourners.

Great pic at #670! I was a movie fan of Reagan's as well as being oh so grateful for his presidency. His has truely been a life well-lived.

Our tears at his passing will be for ourselves....that we no longer have him w/us. Our prayers for his family, friends, and the nation should be ones of thanks to Almighty God that he was here for awhile. I have no doubt that he will be w/God and at peace when he leaves us.

Well, I think it's much much sooner than weeks or months that it will come to pass.

Just now on msnbc, they reported a doctor was called to the house.

They're just probably giving the family private time, so that they're not swamped now with gaggles of newshounds bothering them.

Went over to DU and saw exactly what I expected. Their so called "compassion" on display for all to see. These people are truly the enemies of America.
