Hollywood sources tell LA Weekly columnist Nikki Finke that former President Ronald Reagan's medical condition has suddenly worsened. "He really took a downslide today," the insider told Finke Friday evening. "Doctors are at the house. Things aren't good." At the start of the day, several news organizations chased down a rumor that the ex-president had died, but it wasn't true... Family members gathered at the Reagan's Bel Air home late Friday... Developing...
When I think back to his speech during the 50th anniversay of D-Day I remember why I love him so. He loves our country and was not afraid to praise her.
As I sit here I'm looking at my Reagan buble head doll. I love this guy! My prayers go out to him and his family - which includes all of us who know right from wrong.
Yes, but what a horror for Nancy and his family, especially after Maureen's death.
I'll never forget former President Nixon's funeral -- all the still living presidents were in attendance, including Slick Willie. I couldn't help but be reminded of the Sesame Street song, "which of these things aren't like the other?"
I hate thinking about this, but liberals are going to just seethe over the funeral. They're going to look like the sick bastards they are in light of all the wonderful things Reagan has done.
Quote from family friend, "The time is getting close."
Oh my goodness. Where did you see that?
Ironic, Fox News is at Pont de Hoc reporting right now.
Just reported on Fox and Friends.
The euroweenies and Leftist trash must be beside themselves now, not only will president Bush stand in normandy tomorrow and compare D-Day to the war on Terror but he may also pay tribute to the greatest American president of the Twentieth Century.
I have a short letter from Ronald Reagan. When I was a little girl, way too young to vote, I wrote to President Reagan. My father encouraged me. I remember waiting for a reply in the mail. Then it came. I felt as if I was the most important person on the face of the earth because the President of the United States had written back to me telling me that I was America's future and to follow my dreams. I have the short reply tucked away safely and from time to time my kids ask me to get it out and we talk about who Roanld Reagan was. Like someone said previously on this thread, he made me feel safe.
I know... I honest to God am shocked!! I really cannot believe the how EVIL they are... Don't get me wrong, I know that they are idiots I just didn't realized Satan actually dwelled inside them...
Prayers for a gentle passing.
I wish I had the opprotunity to vote for Reagan. I turned 18 when I voted for Bush 1. GW is a good President, but he is no Reagan. I'm sure when Reagan dies, there will be a lot of people in mourning. Probaly not since George Washington died.
If he is that close to death, his passing may coincide with and forever be remembered along with D-Day.
It truly is the "long good-bye" and the family realizes such relief that their loved one is no longer suffering and will be whole again with our Precious Lord.
Ronald Reagan has "weeks to live" Sat June 05, 2004 08:49 AM ET PARIS (Reuters) - Former U.S. President Ronald Reagan's health is deteriorating and he could only have weeks to live, a U.S. source close to the situation has said. "I was told it could be soon -- it could be weeks, it could be months," the U.S. source said on Saturday of Reagan, adding he had long suffered from the brain-wasting disease Alzheimer's disease and his condition had worsened in the past week.
Amen my friend, the boys from Pont de Hoc will soon be joined by the man who praised them so well in that speech.
I think GW is as good as Reagan, and I named my daughter after him (Reagan not Ronald LOL). I would love to see him hold on untill July 4th.
The way the reporters are stuttering, and how the "Alerts" are getting closer and closer, I have a feeling that they are just waiting for the news.
God Bless the Reagan Family. President Reagan will finally be at peace, but the rest of the world suffers this lose.
Ronald Reagan, was the first Presidential Candidate I ever saw in person. He came to my small town (about 5,000 people) will he was campaigning in 1980. I was in 6th grade, and the school actually let us all out of school that day to walk down to the town square to see his speech.
I don't remember a word he said, but I do remember shaking his hand at the end, and I think that was the day I became a Republican!
I have never cast a vote for a Democrat in my life, and Ronald Reagan is the reason. He reminded me of my Grandfather for some reason, and I agreed with everything he said, and felt a strange "love" for a man I never new personally.
In 2000 I took my son to see President Bush campaign, hoping that the experience would affect him in the same way. And it has. Unless something changes in the future, I can honestly say he will always be a Republican!!
