I'm not a praying man, but I just said a prayer for Mr. Reagan.
God bless and keep you, good sir.

I agree with you that the left will respond with "their usual vitriolic poisonous venom". It will backfire on a far greater level than Wellstone. Our side only needs to maintain a little class, dignity, and decorum to put the left in a very bad light.
If we don't react to their ranting and raving, we will make huge strides to revealing the left for what they are.
That said, my prayers are continuing for President Reagan and his family.

I will be happy for the Great One and know that he is in a better place. I hope the grieving isnt too painful and that he is recognized as the one of the greatest Presidents of all time.
God Bless Ronald Reagan.

I love that picture.
I believe we all are here for a specific reason - a specific job. Mr. Reagan has accomplished his and did a damn fine job. Time to go home.

Unfortunately, most of the world will not mourn. Not even most of this country.
For so many in this country, Clinton and his antics are so "cool."
Reagan is an unknown to them.

Here is the difference between FR and DU...
If this was happening to Clinton I still believe that 98% of the comments on the thread would be about sending prayers out. If you go to DU now and read the posts, it is absolutley grotesque!!!!
It actually has made my heart ache that Americans would write the garbage they are writing over there!!!

I love that picture and I have a similar one on my wall at home from the Young American's Foundation. His white horse was appropriately named El Alamein for the turning point against the Nazis in October 1942. Prayers for his family. May we all live worthy to meet this great man in the hereafter. May we all keep his memory alive to turn back the tide of evil in the here and now.

This thread has grown so. However, I fail to understand why this news items so troubles you at being released.
This man is a personal hero of mine. However, we all must pass. And sadly, a higher being saw fit to allow something to deeply affect this great mans final years. I can't explain why. I would have been so happy to see him be elder statesman until his final days. Instead he was closeted away as his mental health declined to abysmal depths.
I am personally much further left leaning than most people on this forum, yet I recognize this man's importance in so many parts of our lives.
May God evaluate his faith and good deeds over any missteps he may have made along the way and reward him with a blessed eternal life when his passing comes.
To: Rokke
FoxNews just mentioned that wires are watching/reporting his failing health.
Probably not much longer for him.

I've often thought Reagan's Alzheimer's was a blessing in disguise. He was blissfully unaware of the destruction wrought by the Clinton years. It would have crushed him.
President Reagan, you will be missed beyond what we can express in words. God bless you and your family.

Fox News just reported this at 8:50am Eastern time. The White House has issued a release to confirm.
God keep the Reagan family strong during this vigil. We love you '40'

Yes I heard it on Fox too. They said his condition has worsened significantly in the past 48 hours.

Former President's Health Said to Decline
PARIS Former President Ronald Reagan's (search) health has deteriorated, the White House has been told.
The White House was informed that the 93-year-old former president's health had changed significantly in the past several days, a person familiar with Reagan's condition said Saturday.
