Hollywood sources tell LA Weekly columnist Nikki Finke that former President Ronald Reagan's medical condition has suddenly worsened. "He really took a downslide today," the insider told Finke Friday evening. "Doctors are at the house. Things aren't good." I do not know where the USS RR is home-ported; either San Diego or Norfolk, probably. The Federal Building is in DC. I can't remember just where, but I do remember the Democrat squealing when it was dedicated.

DUers are claiming that Bush is going to kill him just at the right time for a polls bump...

The DUers have truly gone off the deep end.

"The DUers have truly gone off the deep end."

Nah.
They're just throwing a little "unmasking" party.

Catch a glimpse of their true faces, if you dare.

Thank you for the information on both the carrier and the Federal Building.

I do remember the Democrat squealing when it was dedicated.

Just thinking of Democrats squealing brings a faint smile to my face... thanks!

Everyone do themselves a favor and don't go there. it's not pretty. A few are being decent but there's some vile stuff posted there now about this.

I'm 27 years old and fully remember President Reagan while in office. He was the grandpa I never had, and the man who made me feel safe when I was a child. I didn't know too much about the Soviets when I was that young, but I new enough to know that they were in a position to do us harm.

As a child the main speech that sticks in my mind is the Challenger address to the nation that President Reagan made. I probably couldn't appreciate that speech at the time, but I never forgot him telling us that the astronauts slipped the bonds of earth to touch the face of God. I never knew what that meant then, but that has become one of my favorite speeches from him. It wasn't about politics, but about reassuring the nation after a tragedy. The same goes for President Bush during his address at the National Cathedral after 9-11.

Luckily I have a taped copy of the 92 GOP Convention in Houston when the old man came to make a speech. If I remember correctly, one of the news anchors (Schneider from CNN possibly) asked him what he was planning on doing that night. President Reagan replied that he was going to show those people how to deliver a speech. And this was true. Reagan stole the show and delivered one helluva speech. No matter how good Clinton was a delivering speeches, Reagan was the king.

Although I don't agree with some things he did, most notedly the way Col. North was treated, I still hold him in high regard and feel very lucky that I grew up while he was in office.

>>A couple of weeks ago I had a dream that President Reagan would go to his eternal home on Memorial Day. Now it seems he may be ready to leave us on the Anniversary of D-Day.

Strange, but a few weeks back I dreamed of writing "6-6-2004" in a letter to Mrs. Reagan. Woke up thinking it was bad luck, because 2+0+0+4=6 and so I'd written 6-6-6. I don't know what the letter was about because soon after I wrote the numbers I woke up.

Ronald Reagan deserves more than a spot on Mt. Rushmore. A mountain all to himself. But if he could tell us, he'd surely tell us not to fuss like that.

I'd go for a special commemorative $40 bill bearing the image of our 40th president, in bold beautiful red white and blue.
