Breaking News on Fox
Bump.
Thanks for the repost.
It is spot on.
Sounds like Denny voted for Tenet before he voted against him.
As Peach said earlier, if the President got up an hour early this morning, the Fraudcasters would claim it is negative news.
Everything is spun as negative news, though, so who cares what they think except DUers?
Reminds me of the time my wife berated me for buying flowers for her... LOL...
.
I'm sorry to see Tenet go as well.
Correct.
Porter Goss is a superb nominee.
Some of the replies on this thread are just plain silly and others smack of liberal creeps. Still, we do have some serious and quite valid comments from the standard bearers of FR> My 2 cents are this: we're in rough times, whatever his reasons are for resigning, Bush will pick the most qualified person to head up this position and it will probably be someone who flies under our radar screen of who's who! It won't be because of political reasons, however, so stop wasting time trying to figure out how Bush could get the best mileage out of his next move - he's much more concerned about how BEST to PREVENT ANOTHER ATTACK and THAT will be his main goal behind choosing Tenet's replacement.
;O)
I like it.
Not if it happens after Nov 2004 and the Pubbies clean the Dems' clocks. :-) (Not saying it will happen, only that it could...)
LOL - Intelligence Failures?
What a crock.
The intel has been remarkable since 9/11 - The BASH went extremely well in large part due to CIA infiltration of Iraq - there have been no major attacks on US soil - where's the failure?
CIA has done a great job, no matter how you, and other Bush bashers, try to spin it.
.
Howlin darlin...thanks for the ping....LTNS...How are things G/F?
Uh, Woolsey never "didibopped" or anything else, as he was peremptorily removed in the first few months of Clintonius's administration, not long after Xlinton fired all the DOJ's U.S. attorneys. No infatuation with "bipartisanship" in the Comrade Xlinton administration. I can't recall that there were ANY 'hold-overs' he left from Reagan-Bush...PERIOD.
Any ways, Tenet never had any real qualifications for CIA Director.
It's pretty depressing, and we haven't even gotten to "the good part" yet.........you better be back here for the conventions!
Bitter Truth Bump.
I have a strong suspicion that Tenet will be very constrained as to what he feels comfortable to say in public, and that is why I think he'll say little.
.
Bump for later browse...
This will have no impact on the election. RAT praise merely shows that he is a danger to THEM.
Any forthcoming book will not be available until after the election. Even the quickest write can't get around the Agency review process which will take months to approve of information within.
Those believing this will result in a Bushbashing book before Nov. are unaware of many things relevent to this issue including the above.
Skepticism is fine but unwarranted hysteria another matter.
One day a new secret service agent was assigned to the White House detail. They told him he could be cordial with everyone but not to talk to one person. Don't even look at them. Act as if they are not there.
On his first day the new agent was assigned to a hallway and was greeting people as they passed by. Then the person who he was "warned" about came down the hall. The agent just could not let the person pass without saying "good morning". When he did the person did not look at the agent, did not even recognize he was there. As she walked passed him all Hillary Clinton said was:
f**k you!
Sounds like a good choice but is he available? Is he running again? My most likely pick is someone like J.C. Watts. ( not necessarily him, just a good example as someone who would be readily available ) Would nominating an active congressman be in our best interest, especially one currently holding a "safe" seat?
Former OK governor Frank Keating
is another excellent choice and he is available.
