Breaking News on Fox
Yawn - I'm weary of your negativism, having scrolled through most of this thread.
"Tenet: "It was for the well-being of my family...nothing more and nothing less"......Reported by Molly Heindenburg (FOX)"
Bizarre. Something has him spooked.
Brilliant choices!
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Vague enough to cause a problem.
This is correct. I watched the Countdown to D-Day on A&E and thought about the way history will depict the war on terror led by Bush. He picked up the historical pieces and led with commitment and honor after 9.11. History will show that this is one of W's most outstanding moments.
Limbaugh:
There were tears in the White House last night.
Tenet thinks Bush is the most esteemed president he has ever seen or met. They are fast friends. Tenet met with Clinton twice; meets with Bush every day.
Bush isn't stupid. If he even SUSPECTED that Tenet was going to turn on him or write a negative book, he WOULD NOT HAVE SAID TODAY THAT TENET SERVED THE COUNTRY SO WELL AND DID A FABULOUS JOB.
Bush would have been far more circumspect if he suspected Tenet would turn on him.
Limbaugh said something about a heart attack/problem in the past.
Wonder if Tennet was the drunken American that provided Ahmad Chalabi with the information that we broke Iran's spy communications code?
Well that will never satisfy the depraved questioners who must find layer upon layer to arrange and re-arrange. Sadly.
Take the man's word and deal w/it. Some people do tell the truth, you know.
if that was the case he would have resigned after 911
Thanks for that report. Good to hear it.
I'm not quite ready to give up on Rove.
I didn't see the president, but I heard a clip on the radio, and the tone of his voice sounded sad to me. I think he's genuinely sorry to see Tenet go.
I corrected my mistake in a previous post. You would know that if you were reading the thread. I said Warner instead of Heinz.

It's not a matter of me "dealing with it." I merely suggested that he should say what the personal reason is, specifically. In order to take the heat of leftist speculation off of Bush. When it comes to the leftist media, they will NOT "deal with it." They will use it like a club.
Bump.
I don't think there necessarily is something conspiratorial about Tenet's departure. I'd say there isn't as of now.
That's a nice suggestion, but we all know the Dems won't do that. It would be better if Tenet provided a less ambiguous reason for his leaving.
Some people do tell the truth, you know.
Hard to convince the Dems of that since most wouldn't recognize the truth if it bit'em.
