I can't imagine what it's like to always expect the worst out of people.

The DemonicRats would love to chew on him for all the perceived failures in the Military Plan for Iraq.... They would rather have Rumsfeld but they would play with Woolfie..

Get your facts straight.

Sen. Warner was once married to Elizabeth Taylor.

Teresa Heintz was married to the late Sen. Heintz (R) and inherited her wealth from him, whom she has stated she considers her "real husband."

Whatever, I have no desire to argue with the elites.

You can insult and trash me all you want because I'm not some phoney cheerleader, you can say all you want that all I do is post negativity, which is a lie. But I really don't care.

Chalabi, and any of his close associates, could strongly infer that that code had been broken by things that they had been told as members of the new Iraq government.

I am very surprised at how well kept the secrets have been during our time after the BASH in Iraq. Heck, that whole governing council managed to keep the SH capture for over half a day!

It only takes a very few and minor facts to establish such suspicions of code-breaking, or other items the military works so hard to keep secret. For those high up in the Iraq council it is clear that they needed some of that info. An unscrupulous person there would then be able to relay such solid suspicions to Iran. I see no reason for anybody to "blame" Tenet or anybody else for letting that cat out of the bag. Unfortunately, those types of secrets are very fleeting, and easy to detect the truth. No "fall guy" is needed here.

It's enough for me that Chalabi or someone close to him apparently had a hand in directly leaking that info.

Actually it is quibbling over words. The post was about how Tenet had hurt the President with his sloppy oversight of the Pflame affair. The point about the lawyer was to underscore that that might be one reason Tenet was on the rocks.

You want to argue over whether the Pres. requires a lawyer or not. He contacted one about the Pflame case. I'd say he felt a need to do that....unless, of course, he just runs around contacting lawyers for his "rush of the day."

I've been around FR quite a long time, and I know when someone is being picayunish. In this case, you are. But there are freepers who get their jollies that way. More power to ya.

Will it be enough to feed the liberal appetite for destruction?

They wont be satisfied until Hitlery is in the White House.

I have been warning that the media is our real enemy, since I joined FR.

I'm with you on that!

The media fifth column, along with like-minded traitors in the democrat party, are America's enemies within.

Why don't you try and convince them they are Americans? They certainly don't act like they believe they are.

Apparently you have no idea what Fascism actually is.

Oh, boy. You're still at it.

#1. There is NO evidence that Tenet has ever been or plans to be disloyal to the president.

#2. Some analyst was on CNN (I don't watch that channel often enough to remember the guy's name but I've seen him before speaking about the WOT specifically - Peter something?). Anyway, said analyst said that Tenet is so deeply loyal that there is no way he just popped in on the president last night and told him this. He likely has had ongoing discussions with the president.

#3. You ask why we are supposed to instantly believe he is loyal. You have that backward. He has PROVEN repeatedly his loyalty in sworn testimony and in his speeches and among friends and insiders he is KNOWN to think incredibly highly of the president. Let me ask you - why do you instantly believe he will be disloyal to the president?

#4. You are one of the most consistently negative Freepers I've seen in a LOOOOONG time.

James Woolsey seems to be the most rationale choice to me.

He can make it through the gauntlet of lies and BS any Dem can throw at him.

North would me slandered from here to Pluto.

I think he thinks he has failed President Bush in some way.

For what it's worth... I believe he simply thought his seven years of good and loyal service was sufficient, and he wants to get out of that pressure packed job.

Bush was obviously blindsided by this guy today

Tenent and President Bush have probably been talking about this for weeks, this was not a surprise.
