I'm watching. Good acting. Good filming.
I'm not a professor of History but I haven't seen anything wrong yet.
Selleck is one heck of a good actor.

Selleck is a conservative and this explains that the French were just as much a pain in the $#@ then as they are now.

Selleck is good; but I think Eisenhower was a lot more antimated.

Tom Selleck plays General Dwight D. Eisenhower in this sweeping story of the tense days leading up to the Allied invasion.>
Damn good movie.

Very good. Freepers on theWest Coat, fire up the VCRS and Tivos if you have an interest in WWII. Well worth the time.

I'm not a fan of Ike's (Operation Keelhaul), but I am a Selleck fan since he took Rosie O'Dumbell down a notch. I was taping the show and there was a commercial that overran the intro to the 2nd part of the 2nd hour. Grrrrr! Then they superimposed an ad to advise me there will be a rerun after this show.

Here is a link to an interview with Tom Selleck:
National Review Interview He does not call himself a conservative but says he is a registered Independent with Libertarian leanings. That is good enough for me.
I thought the movie was good. I hated history when I was growing up, and only recently started to try to learn all the things I missed, so this was good for me to see. The parallels to today are very interesting.

It's a great portrayal. One of my best friends went in with the 82d Airborne on D-Day minus one and was captured immediately upon landing. The godfather of two of my sons went into Omaha Beach on D-Day. Both had nice things to say about Ike. Tom Selleck did a marvelous job as Ike.

DH and I were caught up in it. I assume many of the quotes were factual, and if so, then it was not just political posturing on De Gaulle. Except I like the casting of him---making him a puny little weasel. Wasn't he a tall weasel?
Selleck was good!
DH is presently reading "Franklin and Winston", and he said the book speaks of their mutual dislike of DeGaulle.

Pretty factual. Very good show. Monty was played well..just like the snott he was, and Patton actually did what he did, although I dont think he said that after he got into the vehicle with Mims.
It hit me that the one who actually had the final information of "if it was a go" was that poor weatherman. That poor kid sure was under pressure.
