The anti-terrorism agency that Congress rushed into existence just weeks after the September 11 attacks to protect America's planes, trains and trucks is shrinking, and could all but fade away.

What are they outsourcing? Sure they are!

Actually, I think they hired too many, too fast. Lots of people standing around with no explicit tasks to accomplish. TSA overstaffed early and they have been cutting back. The money has been burned on unnecessary staff and office buildings without actually getting anything accomplished...except the jobs program desired by certain left wing legislators.

The bridge monitoring work has a definite set of bridges to monitor, but the $$$ just isn't there to do the work.
