I haven't seen the Rottweilers for a week or so, but if I
am going to steal a dogs chain, then it won't be off a Rottweiler.

It was scary to take the collar off a Big Hound.

Here, the dog pound does not come and I didn't see that it was worth calling out an officer, to do what I was going to do anyway.

There are no tags on the collar.

The way the chain is caught, it will take a man to raise the wooden deck and get it out.

So I have a "ghost Dog" chain, right by the front door.

Muslim and Arab society is today a failure much as Communism used to be. Muslims and Arabs live under absolute and despotic government which prevents them from enjoying anything like the freedom and prosperity that they see in the West and wish for themselves. On the whole they realize that they have long ago taken their history and destiny into their own hands, and so are responsible for themselves. But so dire are the injustices and the poverty, and so threatening is the tyranny over their heads, that many are lost in pity for themselves, and hatred of everyone else. A slew of racists, radicals, and Islamists share a frame of mind that the West is selfishly conspiring against them, with the Jews once again secretly in charge. Catering to such people since the early '60s, editions of Mein Kampf have been put out in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, and it is reported to be a bestseller in the Palestinian Authority area.

Excellent read. More truth detection and exposure. Sear it in your brains.

Someone yesterday, posted that the CAIR bunch might be getting scared of what could happen to them and that is why they have suddenly realized that we expected an apology from them.

My fear is that they know something is about to happen that will so enrage the man on the street, that they feel it would be worth while to suddenly remind us that they are not all bad.

This time, I am praying that I am wrong.

Karl,

You are correct, I too think that we will be hit hard the next time.

But even if we are, I fear there are enough of the others who are against this war, that will still say it is our fault, as we are the bullies.

Nice catch. And I pray this perfectly logical assumption is also wrong.

If something happens, they are fools to think an apology now...a few years late and a few dollars late...will protect them from the backlash to come.

As I said...they had their chance. Time is now expired.

Information filled, interesting article:

Pirates on the prowl (Al Qaeda linked to attacks in Malacca Straits)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1145053/posts

"Some Western intelligence agencies and maritime security experts have linked Al Qaeda, or militant groups associated with it, to the armed attacks in the Malacca Straits.

Oil and gas tankers are the prime targets, not only in the Malacca Straits but also elsewhere (bombing of the Limburg oil tanker off Yemen in 2002). In 23 per cent of the attacks in 2003, tankers were the targets.

That these vessels carrying dangerous cargoes may be temporarily under the control of unauthorised individuals remains a matter of concern.

Particularly at risk are big ships carrying oil or chemicals that could be sunk in the narrowest parts, or choke-points of the Straits or turned into floating bombs. Such an act of terror would lead to re-routing some 50,000 ships disrupting the world trade. "

Looks like many attacks by Al Qaeda have been foiled, and we don't even know about it. Mansoor Ijaz mentioned it frequently that the Malacca Straits are very attractive target for Al Qaeda, because some large fraction of shipping goes through there.

"Nearly 40 per cent of the world's trade and 80 per cent of Japan's crude oil is transported through this narrow waterway."

Spooky. And even if we built more refineries and drilled for more oil to become self-sufficient, it would still tie us up badly trying to take care of our allies. As it is, we would be SOL as well since we are not self-sufficient.

Hey but at least we still have control of the Panama Canal!

After watching the Indy500, and then seeing the storm thread here on FreeRepublic, I tuned into that TV station via the link provided. I was surprised at the number of EAS activations over the air.....there were about 10 in a span of 30 minutes, with different counties, cities, routes, etc.

Since I am in LA, I rarely here these...in fact, the one time my radio did go off, I thought for sure it was a radiological alert or attack (it was a monthly test)

Glad I'm not the only one suffering a bit of paranoia. Everytime the electricity goes off, I think "EMP." ~sigh.........

What about all those Aqua Vend machines outside the supermarkets?

>>>“I don’t think it’s feasible at all; our water is constantly treated and tested,” he said. However, Sanderson asserted that there are ways to scare the public into believing that an attack was carried out. “They can plant materials elsewhere to create a panic. For instance, planting empty barrels that are marked ‘cyanide’ near a water supply.”

I have been thinking more of dirty bombs in expensive neighborhoods. What would cause more upheaval and economic damage than contamination several neighborhoods of $1-4 million dollar homes? You could have several five ton trucks going off spreading bad stuff...the neighborhoods would suddenly have no values, if they were indeed contaminated in radiation, and I am sure all the homeowners in the city would lose market value, as a lot of them would get out of Dodge. Talk about a quick Real Estate Bubble burst. Or a University...if you rendered a UC campus uninhabitable, that is billions of dollars....
