I am laughing so hard right now, everyone, I just have to share this with you. I am half-asleep from my bout with aspirin, beer and Nyquil -- all in my effort to ease some mouth pain. But I had to get up and turn the computer back on because this thought occurred to me: Is it any wonder that the alphabets can't get along in the terror war when we can't even get along on this terror thread? Does anyone else here find it as amusing as me or is it solely the Nyquil that is making me laugh right now?!

It has been quite a storm. 174 reported tornadoes (should be pushing 200 by tomorrow) in the past two days, this one will definately rank up there with some of the largest outbreaks on record.

The amazing thing... very few deaths. The technology has come so far in the past few years, warning time with the NEXRAD doppler is amazing and computer extrapolation is moving the science ahead by leaps and bounds. I've been struck by the footage of towns completely destroyed this month where not a life was lost.

Compare what we see now to the one day super outbreak of 1974 when 330 people were killed by a 24 hour episode of 148 tornadoes. People love to hate the meteoroligist, but they are a group of unsung American Hero's.

Please don't take anything else, beer and aspirin was too much, Nyquill from my memory is very high alcohol, and is actually Anisette with other ingredients and green food color. Or at least that is what it tastes like to me.

Do you have any Cloves? Those hard things, put 3 or 4 in the mouth on the sore tooth, works well.

So does sugarless Wintergreen gum.

You can rub Lavender Eo on the jaw.

But if you have Oregano Essential Oil, rub the gum with that, it will be so hot that you will forget the pain and the Oregano kills infection.

And a granny hug helps too.

Awesome! I'm a trained spotter for NWS Albany, NY (too bad I never have anything interesting to report). When I was in my teens I lived in north TX for a few years, I used to listen to skywarn spotters whenever there was severe weather, it was the best way to get good information. The system is amazing... it definately saves lives. I know quite a few Ham/Skywarn spotters through the internet and they are all very dedicated to helping out in times of need.
