Thanks for your kindness and support Indie, who knew an elderly, gray haired, blue eyed, Christian, eighth generation American would turn out to be the enemy.

OK, now I get it about the chicken footprint and peace sign. Thanks Granny. I moved on from the beer to Nyquil. My recently worked-on tooth and neck are aching and the beer or aspirin before that didn't numb it. Nyquil always works. I still would like to hear that story sometime about the times you were thrown out of a room when a football game was on the telly! You know, I can tell you are a real rebel rouser.

Night Granny and all. The Nyquil is kicking in finally......

>>That is a small part of StillProud's post. I read the original.<<

I wasn't going to get into this again, but I read the original as well, and SP2BF said she had the date of an attack but wouldn't post it because it would be too frightening.

Now if someone has that information, and posts the fact that they have it---but then won't tell--I have a problem with that.

No problem. You never can tell by looking. And we all know the original post whereby SP stated they had a date but would not post it was removed by the moderator.

Just like liberals..it is ok to criticize, as long as it is not one of theirs. Then it automatically becomes time to "chill out," but it's OK as long as they're doing the criticizing.

"I believe you know as well as I do....

StillProud's post is right here copied into this retort.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1144669/posts?page=107#107"

No, actually I hadn't seen that...but now that I have I almost want my last post retracted!

That even pisses me off...and she was dead-on wrong for ever posting something like that ANYWHERE! Especially given the fact that she is deemed credible. No doubt she does great work....but that one post IMHO has me questioning alot!

Sorry folks, I am not gonna lie...that post really, really bothers me....stay tuned for the REAL date being in the paid section!

Militants in Saudi attack escape
Ringleader in custody; death toll reaches 22
By Megan K. Stack, Los Angeles Times | May 31, 2004

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- After killing at least 22 civilians, most of them foreign, and trapping dozens of people in a 25-hour hostage standoff, three Islamist militants managed yesterday to steal a car, disappear into rush-hour traffic, and slip out of the grip of hundreds of Saudi commandos.

The men, who authorities said used hostages as human shields to escape, were still missing early this morning. Saudi security forces searched for the suspects around Khobar, an eastern oil hub and home to a vast community of foreign workers. One of the missing militants had been wounded fighting security forces, an official at the Ministry of Interior said.

AL-KHOBAR (AFP) - Gunmen killed 22 people in a weekend of violence, slitting the throats of nine foreigners, before three of the killers fled and a fourth was wounded and captured in this Saudi oil city, the interior ministry said Sunday.
The dead were listed as: eight Indians, three Filipinos, three Saudis, two Sri Lankans, one American, one Briton, an Italian, a Swede, one South African and one Egyptian, according to the official SPA news agency.

I must have missed something, yesterday they were saying the Saudis shot and stormed them all

Seattle will be under 1/2 mile of ice soon...I heard it on Art Bell last night. But Las Vegas will only drop 6 degrees. Could take less than ten years.

Vegas could be flooded ..all they'd do is bring in some SCUBA gear and waterproof the tables and machines ;) [They know I'd still manage to play!]

SAUDI ARABIA
'Spectacular terror attack planned for Saudi Arabia'
Posted Mon, 31 May 2004

Intelligence agencies fear that the Islamic terrorists behind the deadly kidnappings in Saudi Arabia over the weekend are planning a "spectacular attack" in the country, The Times of London reported on Monday.

Twenty-two people were killed in the Saudi terrorist operation by gunmen who slit the throats of several foreigners, before commandos stormed a housing complex to rescue dozens of hostages on Sunday.

Key oil installations, or the causeway linking Saudi Arabia to Bahrain are among the possible targets of a future attack, according to the British newspaper's intelligence sources.

Final preparations for such an attack are being made by al-Qaeda sympathisers, The Times said.

The Saudi interior ministry on Sunday listed the dead from the hostage-taking and related violence as: eight Indians, three Filipinos, three Saudis, two Sri Lankans, one American, one Briton, an Italian, a Swede, a South African and an Egyptian.

Another 25 people from various countries were wounded in the attacks which were launched Saturday on the offices of several oil companies and only ended 24 hours later when Saudi forces stormed the upmarket Oasis housing compound where the gunmen had taken the hostages, it said in a statement.

The ministry said three of the gunmen managed to escape after seizing a car at gunpoint after the commandos stormed the sprawling compound. A fourth, their alleged leader, was wounded and captured, it said. He was identified only as one of the kingdom's "most wanted".

The attacks were purportedly claimed by the al-Qaeda terror group in a statement posted on an Islamist website and which could not be verified.

A second statement later vowed to "cleanse the Arabian Peninsula of infidels".
